We visited in 2023 and couldn’t wait to come back on our most recent visit to Venice. Always a treat! We arrived via gondola this time for the full experience, and it was really fun. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere and great food! Small dining room so make a reservation. Nice specials also. If you can, arrive by boat/gondola for the full experience

Phenomenal. I typically just give a star rating with no comment. This place is so full of history, a staff that is proud to be in the dining industry and the food is out of this world.

Da Ivo is the most overrated place we have ever been in Venice. The waiters are rude, they are treating you as if they are doing you a favor. As if it is a privilege you are there. Most probably because they had so many Hollywood stars as guests, they feel like they are so good at what they do. The food is ok but not wow. You can have sooo much better food in other place in Venice. And is super overpriced. For example a salad si 40 Euros. Come one guys, wake up! Is 2025! Clients have different expectations from your service and your food for the money you charge.

El Ivo fue catalogado en muchos blogs como imprescindible y fue muy recomendable por nuestro hotel. No puedo recomendar. La comida estaba bien, pero sobreprecio. El restaurante es increíblemente pequeño, lo que estaría bien si las mesas no estuvieran una encima de la otra. A diferencia de otras experiencias gastronómicas venecianas, no era íntimo y se sentía apresurado al principio. Lamento decir que no fue una gran experiencia y ciertamente no valió la pena el dinero. No me gustó la mirada decepcionada en mi rostro de husbana durante toda la cena, especialmente porque estamos celebrando nuestro 30 aniversario de boda. También muy flagrante sobre la propina que es inútil en Italia después de 4 días en Roma

Es tranquilo, típico lugar veneciano. ¿Es caro? Por supuesto, es Venecia. ¿Sobreprecio? Como con todo en la vida, es una cuestión de perspectiva. Y en Venecia aún más. Solo puedo decir que nos dieron una cálida bienvenida, la comida era sólida, con las especialidades venecianas siendo excepcional. Buena línea de vinos también.

02/05/2025: On May 1st we booked a restaurant at midday and went to Chioggia: a nightmare! Arriving at 12.45, after an endless queue we were unable to find a parking space. In the end we had to cancel the reservation in the center but at 2pm we were in the car wandering aimlessly (and parking) on ​​the outskirts of Chioggia near the beach. The reviews of the Garibaldi restaurant were good so we called them even though we were aware of the opening hours and almost hopeless. They welcomed us last minute and without a reservation, even though they were already fully booked, and did their best to make up for our bad impression of the city's logistics. Excellent food, impeccable service and great courtesy from the owner. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy excellent fish in a friendly but also sophisticated environment. Then we went to see the sea and thanks to them we spent a pleasant May 1st with the family.
