Da Giannino In Santo stefano di camastra

I think that in the last 4 or 5 years I have never eaten such good fish. Simple manufacturing in the name of flavor. In every dish you can find Sicilian tradition. The dish that I point out among others are the tagliatelle with tenerumi swordfish eggs and shrimp, but I do not want to forget the swordfish rolls with a superlative caponata.

Excellent trattoria located right in the center of Santo Stefano di Camastra, we ordered a very tasty and flavorful grilled fish, you can feel that it is fresh, excellent service, I had a good time as well as the environment, I recommend you go there.

If I had to write an article I would title it: "Sicilian nobility". We ordered two dishes: a first course and an appetizer. Time passes and we see that nothing arrives, even though other tables, who came after us, had been served. We ask for an explanation and after 15 minutes the appetizer arrives, but only one member of the table could eat because the other had ordered the first course. We wait some more and in the meantime I finish the dish while the first course we ordered has not yet arrived. We decide to leave because it was late and we had an invitation to dinner for the evening. We go to pay and the owner apologizes and asks us to consider ourselves his guests. A noble gesture that attempted, successfully, to remedy a mix-up in the kitchen. We will return. Sicilian nobility is unique, increasingly rare, and fortunately it is replicated through the generations.

Trattoria that deserves 10 stars but I can give a maximum of 5... excellent mixed seafood appetizer, excellent first courses... very fair price for the high quality offered... well done, we'll be back!!!

Ho cenato in questo locale con la mia ragazza. Peccato per i primi che non abbiamo potuto assaggiare poiché ci è stato comunicato che a causa di un guasto al bollitore non potevano essere preparati. Cena molto nella media per chi è abituato a mangiare pesce nei ristoranti, niente di speciale. Il piatto di antipasti buoni ma troppo costoso per quello che abbiamo mangiato ( 20€ per poco pesce e tutto cotto, nessun crudo), fritturina mista e insalata pantesca buoni ma niente di che. Ci ha piacevolmente sorpreso il tonno con la cipolla, buono e ben cucinato. Nel complesso cena nella media e conto troppo salato per ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Personale gentile.

Quick dinner at the end of a day of work in the area. Attentive and fast service, compact but sufficiently varied menu. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, reasonable bill. Worth the stop.

We were recommended to Da Giannino from one of the ceramic shops as we had gone to Santo Stefano di. Camastra to buy pasta bowls. The restaurant was attractive and clean and had a real family feel to it. After staying in Palermo for the previous week it was a refreshing change from the “Tourist “ restaurants and we were the only English people in there! The food was amazing, delicious with generous portions and prices extremely reasonable. We will definitely return when we’re next in the area.

Had a great meal here. Definitely recommended. Clean toilet. Nice ambiance inside.
