What can I say …… I am a true Bergamo native (born in Strozza) and have never been to this very interesting restaurant ….. 2 of my German friends took me there ….. life is strange …….. the surprise (everything) quality price service and friendliness …… now I will have to leave Milan every time to enjoy Franco's dishes again. We had lunch at Da Franco in Bergamo Alta, initially thinking it was a tourist place, but we were pleasantly surprised. All the dishes were well made, with quality ingredients and authentic flavors. The price is fair, considering the location, and the staff was very kind and attentive. An excellent choice for those who want to enjoy Bergamo and Lombard cuisine in a welcoming environment. Recommended!

Good pizza and with options to have it gluten-free and with lactose free mozzarella. Not many pizza places have both options. Service was okay,had the impression that the waitress was going to say no to my wife when she asked to have her pizza cut for her. She eventually took my wife’s pizza back to the kitchen to have it sliced up but she gave the impression that she was reluctant to do it. Not sure why but it’s a simple request. Not sure I would go back to this restaurant.

The venue for this evenings meal as we had a yearning for pizza. The restaurant is bright and inviting and the staff were great. Our waiter even took up the role of sommelier explaining local wines and the history of our particular chosen wine. 5 ☆. The pizzas were great and extremely large. Superb. They did mean that we had no capacity for dessert. So pizza and wine it was.!

Dopo la visita a Palazzo Moroni a Bergamo alta, una piacevole sosta in questo caratteristico e popolare locale dove abbiamo mangiato un ottimo Baccalà in umido. Il servizio è rapido ed efficiente. Il locale é spazioso ed accogliente

Ci siamo fermati in questo locale per pranzo durante la visita di Bergamo alta.. Locale molto grande e anche se pieno abbiamo aspettato poco per il tavolo... Abbiamo preso un antipasto di salume locale come la bresaola di "Corticelli" con porcini sott'olio..molto buona.. Come primo abbiamo preso le foiade fresche con funghi porcini.. Una pasta locale molto buona con i funghi e il sugo di condimento. Abbiamo abbinato come vino un calice di vino locale, il valcalebio bianco... Tutto molto buono. Locale e cibo consigliato.

19/02/2025: I tried Giusy's pizza for the first time thanks to my colleagues and from there a love was born. I think it's one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Different doughs are available, all excellent, light and digestible. They range from traditional pizzas to gourmet ones with combinations, even seasonal ones, that are truly surprising but always very satisfying. The location is along the SS 42, with the possibility of parking and a few steps from Lake Endine: often in the summer my husband and I took take-away pizza and enjoyed it on the lakeside. Absolutely recommended😉
08/02/2025: It was a real treat to eat the buckwheat pizza. Very kind staff, greeted with a smile for the entire duration of our lunch. We will definitely return
