Excellent food starting from the octopus salad appetizer, not to mention the Carthusian risotto, a bomb of taste and to round off a fantastic apple strudel..... Here you eat well, little to say they respect culinary traditions with raw materials of excellent workmanship and excellent preparations.... The only flaw perhaps is that the place is a little dated but better to pay attention to the substance than to the appearance, good compliments

A CERTAINTY! I returned with my husband - after several years - to this historic Turin restaurant that we have known since we were young, because it is a restaurant where you are sure of eating mainly excellent quality and above all very fresh fish dishes, cooked in a sublime way. I've read reviews that point out that the place is "old". I honestly think that when choosing a restaurant it is more important to evaluate the quality of the food rather than the restaurant itself. We really like the place, it is elegant and gives a feeling of warmth, as it is reminiscent of ancient inns of the North, with a lot of exposed wood, like the beautiful ceiling for example, not to mention the very comfortable side benches (useful for placing handbags and jackets), or the paintings on the walls, an antique mirror, the immaculate table linen... Every room is perfectly clean and tidy. Returning to the dishes offered, the menu is varied and the prices are average. We found all the dishes we chose to be cooked to perfection, attractive in presentation and very tasty, prepared with quality raw materials. The wines offered were also excellent. Another positive side, in my opinion, is the opening hours, which allow you to start lunch or dinner at the "old" times. All the staff were very kind, always smiling and professional. I would like to thank first of all the owner who dedicated her time to us with competence and availability, secondly to our waiter (Riccardo) and Mrs. Katia, who with extreme kindness made us feel "at home" at all times. We didn't try the desserts, but those who tried them found them delicious. There are those who find the service a little slow... Keep in mind that if a dish is cooked at the moment you have to take cooking times into account, and then... don't you go to the restaurant to relax a bit? We recommend this place, because if you really want to taste a good dish cooked properly, you should try it! For our part, we will return as soon as possible!

Sunday 3 March 2024 my husband and I had lunch at Benito's. I knew the place I frequented in the past. I hadn't been there for years and I wanted to go back with my husband because I had excellent memories. In fact, I was not disappointed with excellent, tasty and above all quality dishes. Delicious starters, abundant tagliatelle (I took them home because I couldn't finish them and wanted to try all the starters), really delicious, very fresh oysters and to finish, a delicious tiramisu. The service was excellent, there was a kind and attentive waiter who did not neglect our needs even though the place was full. He deserved to be praised for his professionalism. Da Benito si andava già 50 anni fa, soprattutto per il pesce (scelta audace allora per la città ) quando i toscani erano già a Torino portando novità in cucina da Montecarlo, Altopascio, Montecatini. Si beveva talora vino in fiaschi e non ci si vergognava dei tagliolini o tortellini panna e prosciutto mentre comparivano trionfanti le fiorentine,Oggi, in tempi in cui tutto deve annegare nell’olio ed il nome panna può solo essere pronunciato se diventa crème fraiche, per fortuna esiste ancora questo locale, che unisce alla tradizione una buona attenzione al nuovo. Siamo alla periferia di Torino, lungo un animato corso che porta alla grande fabbrica Fiat di Mirafiori. Entrate ed ampi locali, con arredo un po’ datato ma confortevole, accolgono i clienti.Personale cortese e fin troppo formale nelle divise, vi serve piatti di pesce e carne della tradizione ma anche carpacci oggi di moda.Clientela di media età, soprattutto. Gusterete, a prezzi medi, un’ampia scelta di pasta secca e non col pesce, primi con verdure di stagione, secondi di carne. (scaloppine, filetto ma anche milanesi) ed ancora pesce ma per un tuffo negli anni 70 non abbiamo resistito alla insalata di mare, sulla scia delle interpretazioni del Crocetta e del Gatto Nero ( ancora su di un tono superiore), magnifiche tagliatelle ai carciofi con la richiesta panna, ed il risotto al certosino (cremoso,con gamberi, due porzioni minime, da decenni irrinunciabile cavallo di battaglia del locale). Non pretenderete molto dai vini in caraffa, bianchi (Arneis, Orvieto) o Rosso, qualora non decidiate di attingere alla discreta cantina di bottiglie. Dolci senza particolari innovazioni e conto ragionevole ( primi con ricca scelta tra i 15 e 20 euro, secondi di pesce oltre i 20 euro, meno per le carni, dolci tra i 5,6 euro e meno). Disponibile la frutta, non così comune.Servizi ordinati ed in ottimo stato.Accettate carte di credito, inclusa Amex.

Un ristorante di pesce di buonissima qualità, con ampi ambienti e servizio di altri tempi. Il menù vario e invitante viene servito da gentilissimi ed efficientissimi camerieri . Dolci all’altezza della situazione.
