Cucina Machrì In Pula

Christian Collu has created a truly enchanting place with Machrì al Mare. Directly opposite the 1000-year-old pilgrimage church of Sant Efisio, a culinary epicenter for Pula has emerged. On one side, a pizzeria and café; on the other, creative fine dining just shy of Michelin-starred status. Enjoy sea views from the terrace on one side and views of the lagoon and the mountain range on the other. The decor is stylish and tasteful, though the visual and acoustic separation between the kitchen and service areas could use some improvement. The cuisine is creative and showcases the full spectrum of new, fresh Sardinian dishes. A must-try!

Warm welcome and excellent cuisine. We ate a delicious mullet carpaccio with bottarga, followed by black rice with octopus flavored with fish broth. Perfect flavors from start to finish. A lime sorbet to finish. A very generous limoncello spritz. 2 glasses of a local white wine full of character. Everything is just right in the flavors and cooking. All for 70 euros per person, which seemed justified to us.

It was recommended to me, and I must say it was a remarkable recommendation. The place is divided into two distinct areas: the pizzeria and the restaurant. We dined at sunset, and I must say that the location and the spectacular natural surroundings alone are worth a visit. What can I say about the cuisine? It's truly refined, unique, and of excellent quality. From the presentation to the flavor, everything is perfect. Despite the restaurant's high standard, the staff is elegantly down-to-earth and friendly. Good wine list. Unfortunately, it was the last night of our vacation, otherwise we would have definitely returned. Worth it!

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. The ambiance and service are top-notch, and the food is first-class! The dishes are all perfectly prepared and seasoned, with great attention to texture and mouthfeel. Definitely stop by and try it. It's 10000% worth it.

We had already been to this restaurant last holiday and returned again this year. Located overlooking the Nora lagoon and with a truly beautiful setting, we were able to confirm the quality of the ingredients and the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who pampered us and offered advice to make our dinner special. Special praise to the kitchen for the truly sublime spaghetti with seafood ice cream. The excellent ingredients and the daring combination, though daring, made this dish truly special. We were also satisfied with the pasta, which we had requested very, very al dente! The mullet carpaccio was also truly delicious, and the fried octopus with figs was out of this world. The swordfish sashimi was also truly exceptional. Another excellent first course was the Nora-flavored risotto, also exquisite. To drink, a 2015 Brunello di Montalcino from Frescobaldi (€67). The bill for two was €176. A stunning setting and superb food.

Had a simple aperitif with excellent value for money... two glasses of white wine for €12, a very fair price for the location. I'll be back for dinner. Polite and helpful staff.
