Few tables, but worth the experience, very good food, fresh homemade pasta and fast service. I suggest making reservations (I was lucky this time).

Here’s a polished version that keeps your enthusiasm while reading naturally: The pasta here was fabulous, but the tiramisu was the best we had on our entire trip (we tried about eight different tiramisus while we were in Rome!) The wine was excellent, and the service was warm and attentive. We only managed to get a table because someone happened to cancel just before we walked in, so I’d definitely recommend booking well in advance.

MK recommends this place; the strawberry tiramisu and pasta dishes are quite good. I didn't understand the boiled beef and beef tongue dish, and the chicken leg was too tough—I gave up after one bite. I suggest fellow countrymen don't order it.

Everything was wonderful: the service, the food, the atmosphere… all for a very reasonable price! I highly recommend the strawberry tart. We would definitely go back!

Great authentic Italian food! You can actually watch them make the pasta in the kitchen. Food is amazing. We had the pumpkin ravioli which was delicious. Try the parm cheese appetizer. It with the jelly was a huge hit for us. You will need a reservation. We booked 4 weeks in advance. You will be glad you pre planned for this meal in Rome!

I booked two weeks before arrival and I’m really glad I made the call — everything was perfect. Petroniana Nera was really good, rich and full of truffle flavour. The antipasto was exceptional, and the portion was more than enough for two people. The crispy pastry was also nice with the sauces. Green lasagna was rich and tasty. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

21/05/2026: This place is a hidden gem for sure!!! We ordered weeks special gnocchis and gnocchi fritto, tiramisu and semifredo and every flavor was so good. The server woman was so nice to us and told us about the place and food and what she recommended. We asked the gnocchi for sharing and they serves us half portions on separate plates so this was very nice of them. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the place does not look too nice on the outside but the inside is pretty. So we recommend 100%!!
13/05/2026: Fabulous meal and amazing service from a genuinely wonderful server. What a perfect last meal before heading back to the states. Hidden gem!

09/07/2026: Ristorante La Locanda is a small gem, still "old" and full of authentic flavors. It serves traditional Emilia-Romagna dishes. The food is truly flavorful and tasty, with handmade pasta. The cappellacci del Duca are highly recommended, as are the foie gras and potato tart with pecorino di fossa and guanciale for starters. The desserts are also exceptional, always homemade. The owner is a very kind older man, who even addresses you formally. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.
06/06/2026: An unexpected place that surprised us in every way. We felt at home. A very simple atmosphere, now hard to find in big cities. A big thank you for the evening.
