A well-kept and welcoming restaurant with extremely friendly staff. Despite being centrally located, it's located on a quiet street.
We relied on the owner's advice when choosing our dishes, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The raw fish was excellent, while the pasta and desserts showcased traditional Sicilian ingredients with a modern twist, refined in both presentation and flavor. The eggplant dessert deserves a special mention: truly surprising and exceptional.
If you want to avoid the usual tourist traps and are looking for an authentic experience, characterized by quality, care, and refinement, this is the place to be.

Located in Ortigia's Via della Maestranza, Clandestino is an excellent restaurant that offers a quite ample choice of dishes and some very interesting set menus.
We tried the Chef's guided menu and it proved to be excellent, with a series of small portions that combined traditional ingredients with innovative cuisine. The result was a delicious results that was fulfilling from every point of view.
The service is as well at a very high level, paying attention to the customers' needs.
The setting of the restaurant is nice, with a warm ambiance.
Highly recommended!

We found this place thanks to The Fork and it was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and attentive, the service impeccable, the selection of dishes was very good, and the prices were average. A small note: they offer vegetarian dishes, such as first courses, by removing the non-vegetarian ingredient from the dish, but still charging you the full price. I think the price should have been adjusted since you didn't add a substitute ingredient but only removed it. Regardless, I recommend it because we had a good experience.

We were so grateful to find this restaurant open midday during a torrential rainstorm. The food was very good but what stood out was the service. The staff was so kind and accommodating of our 8 month old granddaughter. They padded the high chair with cushions so the baby was stable. And after a month of traveling, this is the first restaurant that brought an extra plate without us asking. We would definitely return.

It was...fine. If you want to eat and eat a few interesting things its... fine. Tried the chef's tasting and it's an ok deal for Ortigia, but not gonna blow anyone away. Only a couple wines available as a glass. Friendly enough service. Food is just kinda...bland?
