Milan is a city of well-packaged illusions, restaurants where aesthetics surpasses substance. Bottega Lucia is quite the opposite. Here the food doesn't try to impress: it just does.
The Poché Mountain Egg with Potato and Black Truffle Foam is a game of absolute precision: perfectly fluid yolk, airy foam, truffle that arrives like a whisper and leaves its mark. A dish that in less expert hands would be banal, here it is pure elegance.
The Amberjack Tartare with Crispy Vegetables and Robiola is a test of balance: impeccable cut, vegetables that break up the softness with calibrated freshness, robiola that binds without covering. It reminded me of the cleanliness of Nordic tartare, but with a warmer and Mediterranean soul.
The Ossobuco Gyoza with Saffron Cream are a surprise: thin pastry, perfect slow-cooked juicy filling, saffron cream that brightens every bite. A dish that moves between tradition and innovation with absolute naturalness.
The Escarole with Scamorza, Date and Hazelnut Butter plays with the contrast between bitter and sweet in a construction that recalls Arab cuisine, but performed with an entirely Italian sensitivity. Each ingredient has a function, no excess, just perfection.
And then the Beef Fillet with Rosemary Potatoes, the synthesis of the technique performed without smudging: impeccable crust, interior that preserves every drop of juice, golden potatoes on the outside and melting on the inside. A dish that doesn't ask for your respect, it demands it.
But what makes Bottega Lucia a unique experience is the service. In a city where the room is often an overlooked detail, here it is an art. The staff moves with the grace of those who do not serve, but guide. Impeccable presence, perfect anticipation, effortless elegance.
Bottega Lucia is not just a restaurant. It is a declaration of identity, a challenge won. You don't come here to see and be seen. Come because when you taste the first bite, everything else ceases to exist.

Personally I consider it one of the best restaurants in Milan in the medium-high range.
Excellent service characterized by convivial but never intrusive professionalism.

A huge rip-off: expensive and not worth it! The classic place that looks really cool in the photos and then in person the dishes are nothing special, especially for those who are already used to eating very well. The poached egg with the truffle on top had something dark with a rubbery consistency that seemed anything but the fresh truffle presented in the photos of the place on TheFork: it neither smelled nor tasted like fresh black truffles (I ate the real one many times). Sliced tuna very tender, but not embellished with anything like sauces or caramelized onions (as eaten elsewhere), nothing was special. Pluma Iberica nothing special. The 0.375 wine was very expensive for the quality offered, I didn't like it.
The dishes were cold and arrived immediately, synonymous with the fact that they were not made at the moment. For the people next to us, they were heated in the microwave to finish cooking.
The place inside is cute and characteristic, but very narrow and cramped, starting from the bathrooms where there is a very narrow corridor where you bump into each other to wash your hands, and continuing with the tables very close together.
Average friendly service, but they may make you finish eating the last piece of bread before taking away your basket, or ask you if you would like more wine before pouring it for you of their own free will. Small gestures that make a positive and negative difference.
I won't be back!

It's a good idea to make a reservation when visiting the store (^o^)
When we arrived at 9am, it was already full!!
It seems to be famous for its meat, and when I asked the person sitting next to me, I heard that the meat called T-bone was delicious.
But it seems like that's not always the case...
Please ask if you go.
The other day, I visited for the third time, and it's been a while since I visited a few years ago.
The inside of the store was much brighter than before.
It seems like the number of Japanese customers has increased since it was featured on Another Sky, so I need to find a place with fewer Japanese people! ! !
The lamb chops here are really delicious (^^) I might recommend them as they are very soft without any flavor (^^)
The salad was quite large, so next time I'll try it from the side menu.
That might still be enough...

A good restaurant in the area, but in my opinion a little too expensive, especially at lunch. However, extremely kind service, which partially balances the rating. I recommend you try the Iberian pluma, one of their strong dishes.

Ristorante di tendenza in zona Wagner, tipico dei nostri we milanesi
Locale caldo ed accogliente, con soffitti a cassettoni, personale gentile e premuroso, piatti tipici e tradizionali della cucina milanese, ma anche pizze e cucina italiana in genere
Molta scelta sia negli antipasti che nei primi e secondi
Come dolce in questo periodo non si può rinunciare al panettone con la crema
A volte si vedono anche sportivi e personaggi famosi ( visto Berrettini e due dirigenti del Milan )
