Casa Ernesto In Bergamo

Three sisters and their eldest daughter came almost by chance and were delighted with their discovery. A small restaurant where you feel right at home, a warm welcome, smiles all around, and excellent local dishes!

Casa Ernesto is a beautiful little restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The open kitchen right by the entrance gives the place a particularly authentic feel, and the chefs are very friendly and welcoming. The dimmed lighting also contributes to a pleasant, comfortable ambiance. The food was excellent, and overall we had a truly wonderful evening. The only drawback was the very small side dish with the meat—it felt like only about five slices of potato, which was clearly insufficient. We therefore each ordered an extra portion.

A perfect place for an Italian meal and a pleasant time. The cuisine is excellent; we tried the spaghetti and pear risotto from the daily menu. A symphony of flavors, proportions, and presentation. The portions are just right. The prices are more than reasonable. The service deserves a special compliment. A visit here is like visiting the kitchen of a long-time friend. It's truly worth it. We will definitely be back.

FANTASTIC The food was excellent. The beef stick was highly recommended, but everything was delicious. Dolcetto Beatrice was spectacular, a must try. Ernesto was very kind and attentive to his customers. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended...

A lovely little place with fantastic food. We touched down at Bergamo airport at 11.15 and managed get to this place for lunch before it filled up. So glad we made the effort to get there as we were only in Bergamo for two days and the following day we had already made a reservation somewhere else. We choose the tavolo mista to start which was really good. That came with the cheese polenta, also very nice. Then two delicious pasta dishes, I chose Casoncelli alla Bergamasca as I'd never tried this local speciality. It was truly amazing, and the use of butter instead of oil blew me away. Simple fruit for dessert and we left very happy. Very friendly although slightly chaotic towards the end, but that's Italy and why we love it. Great place.

Very welcoming and warm place. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food. Generous platter with truly delicious cured meats and cold cuts. Tender and flavorful grilled meat. A wonderful experience.

Simply wow - the food was the best we got during this our visit to Italy; on a busy Saturday evening while all other places were fully booked they still managed to find a table for us. Service was a bit too slow but mainly because as mentioned before it was a busy period and there were only 2 waitresses. The only thing we didn’t like was tiramisu.
