The place is intimate and truly welcoming. We started with a platter that, despite the menu recommending it for two, we shared among four, and it was quite generous. Regarding the main courses, the wild boar morsels with polenta deserve special mention; they were truly excellent. I found the rabbit, however, a bit too dry. A small note on the service: when we booked, we were informed of the limited time slot for the next shift. However, throughout the evening, the waitresses came to our table, clearly checking their watches, and they turned up their noses a little when a guest wanted to order an extra dish. This attitude made us feel rushed and a bit pressured.

We were lucky to get a table for two at 7:30 pm without a reservation. The appetizer platter was especially good.

The service is absolutely excellent: the girls are delightful, all just the right amount of attention and never overwhelming. The appetizer, meant for two, was plentiful, and the cured meats, cheese, jam, and giardiniera were delicious. Perhaps the giardiniera for two was a bit small, but nothing too significant. I personally didn't like the salami on the platter: being used to the extraordinary Bergamo salami, I found it a bit plasticky. That said, the platter is still truly plentiful and exceptional. As for the first courses, the Scarpinocc—the stuffed pasta similar to casoncelli my friend ordered—I tried half and found them very good, even though I'm not particularly fond of this type of pasta. My pappardelle with chicken ragù, on the other hand, had a slightly watery sauce, and the pasta probably needed another minute of cooking considering the thickness of the homemade pappardelle, because it was a bit too al dente. The ragù was also good, but not memorable; it could be better ;) We paid €75 for an appetizer, two first courses, two glasses of wine, water, and a Coke: I'd say it was absolutely a good price, considering today's averages. I'd do away with those paper placemats on the tables with a truly terrifying design, and I understand the connection with the area and Atalanta, but perhaps a little less so.
