A place on the seafront, via Cosenz, with an ancient tradition. Welcoming and familiar. The swordfish skewers by Mr "Carletto" are excellent, grilled on the spot in front of you.

There's little to say. The kitchen is the best. Chef Carletto boasts a career spanning almost fifty years behind the grill cooking fish-based dishes excellently. Lady Maria, what can I say, is...... a QUEEN. It is the Pearl of the restaurant. I recommend everyone to go and taste the delicacies of the "Carletto" restaurant

We stopped for a short break and tried only one dish each (good), they had a nice grill outside, Alessandro Borghese was also at the tables so it's a good sign. Average prices and rather friendly and efficient service.

28/05/2025: We had dinner here and the food was excellent, the staff were also very friendly and attentive. After having eaten in plenty of restaurants around Taormina this was certainly one of the best.
25/05/2025: Amazing food here tonight. We visited last night for drinks and were given gorgeous homemade appetisers with our cocktails for a bargain price of €10 pp inclusive. So good we visited for food tonight. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff are super friendly and the food was simply stunning, I had the carbonara and it’s probably the best I’ve ever tasted, a must visit. I would choose over Osteria da Rita as the owner was very rude.
