Cantine del Gavi In Gavi

Andato sabato sera per la prima volta, abbiamo mangiato nel loro bellissimo giardino. Abbiamo preso il menù degustazione, tutte le portate molto buone un picco va attribuito al loro risotto al gavi, la portata leggermente sotto le altre, ma sempre buono,il tonno portato come seconda portata. Cantina con ottima scelta di vini con etichette importanti. I prezzi si possono vedere sul loro sito. Noi siamo stati molto bene e spero di tornarci presto.

We had dinner in the garden of the restaurant. Tables very far apart and simply set without tablecloth but with a placemat made of woven leaves. Very nice atmosphere with background music from the 50s/60s. Very good quality of food. Good service. What I think is absolutely unacceptable is that when reading the menu, only 2 options were offered. 1) menu with 6/7 courses at €65 + wines. 2) à la carte choice but with a minimum of 3 courses. Furthermore, the à la carte menu was composed as follows: 2 options of starters, 2 options of first course, only 1 second course (sliced ​​fassona cheese €30), only 1 dessert. The concept of "minimum spending" typical of many trendy venues which seems to have arrived in Gavi, I can ONLY accept PROVIDED that I am informed of it at the time of booking (which took place by telephone). I don't think it's acceptable for me to be forced to consume dishes I don't want without being informed in advance. I don't think we will return.

top notch epic fine dining. every dish is jaw dropping, but what really excels is the gavi and parmigiano risotto and the gelato (crema with salted caramel). don't miss this spot

Absolutely recommended restaurant. We tried the tasting menu, and everything was absolutely excellent. A visit to the garden and the cellar is unmissable.

Very nice surprise! An unplanned stop on our trip in this canteen which turns out to be a gourmet restaurant! Very good cuisine, smiling and efficient staff, also speaking French, and a very pleasant chef. We went there on a Sunday lunchtime without reservation. They only served a single tasting menu but they adapted it for our children into a much cheaper menu! We highly recommend this restaurant 😊

Elegant and welcoming restaurant. I ate the best gavi and 40 month parmesan risotto ever. Excellent wine. We will be back for sure.

Superlative cuisine, welcoming and refined environment, staff attentive to spoiling the customer to the last. Excellent, 6 stars... like the ice cream.
