Cantina Santa Giustina In Salò

More than a dinner, it was a wonderful experience. Delicious food, excellent wines, a refined atmosphere that manages to combine tradition and modernity, dining room kitchen, and an owner whose kindness, gallantry, and presence alone would be worth the price of the dinner. A fantastic evening.

Modern, inventive, surprising and excellent cuisine!

The owner is the chef and the waiter. He is a delight. The atmosphere is incredible with stone walls, minimal but eclectic decor, vibey candle light, and music. The wine list is extensive and features many wines from the region. There is a limited but amazing selection for dinner. Don’t pass on any of the chef’s “renditions”. The “eggplant parmesan” was a true delight with steamed eggplant and a Parmesan mousse. Everything was handcrafted and handmade. The meal was a piece of art. Don’t skip on desert. The chocolate cake was heavenly and the chef’s version of tiramisu featured another mousse with freeze dried bananas and coffee crumble biscuit. I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough. I’m so glad we stumbled into here and hope you do too!

We had a fantastic meal in this small, charming restaurant in a side street. The host, who also serves as both chef and waiter, welcomed us unannounced throughout the evening with great hospitality. We were impressed by the delicious dishes and desserts, prepared with palpable joy and passion. The wine by the glass was also a perfect complement to the meal. I think this rather special restaurant is a must-visit in Salò; we'd gladly return.

We were absolutely thrilled with the food, the location, and the host! A small, somewhat hidden restaurant with outstanding cuisine and wine. The host is absolutely fantastic! We got a table spontaneously. The food was very good, with typical dishes that were perfectly prepared by the host.

My favorite meal from an entire week in Italy. Incredible hospitality, innovative takes on Italian classics, and cool vibe. Must go! Felt really personal - our waiter was also the chef and probably the owner. Intimate setting and really unique.
