The staff is friendly, helpful, and especially the owner. I go there regularly when I host lunches for large groups, but I recommend booking. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.

My partner and I are unfortunately far away and living in Austria we are not able to come to the Friends of the Golden Bell often, BUT we have been choosing and ALWAYS choosing Gino and all his staff for years, we are enormously "grateful" to be able to try their cuisine every time (truly wonderful pizzas and also fantastic cuisine!!) we have NEVER and I repeat NEVER left dissatisfied, it is always a huge pleasure, the atmosphere is truly beautiful and familiar which makes the Golden Bell a unique place and really worth trying (for those who have not been there yet!) Thanks Gino and to the whole Family of the Golden Bell, you make our holidays in Udine, always wonderful.. ❤️💯

Everything was very good, quality products. The staff was exceptionally friendly, even during a quick lunch with three children in tow, which is saying something...

Tasty pizza, but the dough is very heavy and thick. It fills you up and you don't fully enjoy it. It could be made lighter, as the ingredients are excellent.

We got the tip from a 'parking sheriff' – and it was a good one! I'd rate my own pizza 4.5 stars, but we also had sensational pasta with tuna cubes.
We got by just fine with English.
I found the interior to be cool – which can be a relief in the summer, but in early October it was suboptimal.
The men's restroom wasn't ideal at all – but that can be fixed!

I've been at your restaurant end of September 2025 for a take-away. Some carbonara which was ... SOOOO DELICIOUS . !!! BRAVO for the people.
It is the definition of the traditional restaurant which I used to see in the old films about Italy : 3 generations which keep doing what they love. Nonno, nonna, Son, and grandson.
Hope I will be able to come back to Italy and visit you soon.

A real Italian restaurant: colorful, a bit loud, full of life. There is also a bar-like area here, and a terrace in case of good weather, and inside, guests can dine in a larger space with a variable number of tables. The servers are attentive and polite. The pizza and the dishes we ate were delicious. The restaurant is strong especially in terms of pizzas, and in dishes containing seafood ingredients.
