L'Alimentare In Udine

What a wonderful dinner! I have been frequenting Alimentare for many years, famous in the city for its excellent veal with tuna sauce, meatballs with sauce and tiramisu. This evening I tried the "new entries" (yes, here the menu changes with the seasons), which I highly recommend: I start with a taste: cod fritter.... stre-pi-to-sa! I would pair it with Ma'kaira linguine, my favorite dish. I continue with turnip gnocchi, covered with a goat's blue fondue and toasted hazelnuts, a very delicate dish that goes well with the excellent glass of Nebbiolo; free-range chicken, hunter-style, for second course. Very tender and tasty. And finally the desserts. For once I don't get the panna cotta or tiramisu, but I try the new rose-shaped cake, with a center of caramelized apples. Super! Intimate atmosphere, ideal place for a quiet evening with family and friends. Great courtesy and professionalism, truly compliments to the managers and chefs.

Ambiente carino e buone materie prime. In cucina va fatta un po' di più attenzione ai dettagli soprattutto al sale ....troppo in alcuni piatti e poco in altri. Vini buoni....ampliabile la scelta di vini regionali. Buono il servizio. Prezzo corretto

Dishes with excellent raw materials! A real treat for having a lunch with friends. Very prudent service, we arrived at 2.00 pm, and even though it was late they welcomed us with a smile! The space is small and I recommend booking.

Ho sempre voluto provare questo posto, ogni volta che passavo per quella zona rimanevo sempre incantata dal locale con le luci soffuse, le pareti di vetro e le pietanze riportate dal menù esposto all’esterno. Quindi per la cena di Natale con le mie amiche ho proposto questo posto. Siamo state accolte dal personale che ci ha fatto accomodare con gentilezza servendoci il menù. Ogni piatto mi faceva venire l’acquolina in bocca, piatti semplici ma non banali. Io ho preso le cicorie e poi lo spaghetto con la bottarga. Che dire quello spaghetto avrei voluto che non finisse mai, cotto al dente e presentato in maniera impeccabile. Un mix di sapori incredibile. Prezzi non proprio bassi ma la qualità si sente quindi ci sta. Sicuramente tornerò per assaggiare più portate. Lo consiglio!

The food was really very good, shame about the portions (too small) and the cost (too high). The quality of the products is unquestionable, but it loses a star for the aforementioned flaw. I didn't appreciate the fact that the receipt didn't show the individual items, nor the fact that I paid for both the cover charge and the bread separately (the purpose of the cover charge at this point is not clear). It's a shame for these moles, which ruin the many positive sides that certainly exist. The idea of ​​gastronomy with cooking is beautiful.

Small cozy restaurant with delicious food. We liked the atmosphere, but the wait was long. The kitchen is small, only 4 people including the waitress, she was pleasant and smiling. The food was delicious and we were completely satisfied. I recommend ❤️
