A restaurant on the Otranto waterfront with tables practically in the water. Pizza, fish, and traditional fare are available. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced.

Truly a perfect location: dining with a sea view is truly wonderful and makes the experience unique. The food was also magnificent, with excellent value. The friendly and helpful staff completed a truly enjoyable experience. Nothing more to add: a restaurant absolutely worth trying.

For the price we paid, let's say we went to the wrong place.

I came to Cala dei Normanni for dinner with some friends and we had a great time overall. They were very welcoming to us from the moment we walked in, so the service was top notch. I had tagliolini allo scoglio, which was a bit bland, but not bad. We had mixed fried fish (prawns, octopus, etc.), but the prawns were clearly shrimp. The pizza wasn't one of my favorites, but it's definitely not to be missed.

Fui cauteloso cuando leí las críticas muy variadas, algunos diciendo excelente algunos diciendo evitar. Nos pareció que la comida era muy buena, el entrante de mejillones era muy sabroso y la bresaola muy agradable también. La pizza de marisco fue calificada muy bien por un adolescente quisquilloso. El atún y el pescado frito del día no podían faltar. Definitivamente mejillones frescos y pescado, no congelados. Me pareció que los servidores trataban muy bien con un restaurante muy ocupado. La vista es preciosa, así que para una comida muy agradable lo recomendaría.

Abbiamo cenato in questo locale affacciato direttamente sul mare, con un tavolo accanto alla staccionata che regalava una vista meravigliosa e un’atmosfera davvero suggestiva. La serata è iniziata in modo un po’ insolito, con un blackout su tutta la via — ovviamente indipendente dal locale — ma, paradossalmente, ha reso l’esperienza ancora più particolare. Nonostante la mancanza temporanea di corrente, cucina e sala non si sono mai fermate: il servizio è stato impeccabile, con il personale gentile e pronto, capace di gestire l’imprevisto con professionalità e tranquillità. Dopo pochi minuti la corrente è tornata, ma il sorriso dello staff non è mai mancato. Abbiamo ordinato una pepata di cozze come antipasto: molto saporita e abbondante. A seguire, un primo a testa a base di pesce, tutti ben realizzati, con cotture perfette e sapori equilibrati. I due secondi di mare ci hanno pienamente soddisfatti: piatti gustosi e curati nella presentazione. Anche i dolci, spesso trascurati in questo tipo di cucina, si sono rivelati una piacevole sorpresa: saporiti, ben fatti, e perfetti per chiudere la cena con dolcezza e festeggiare il compleanno di una nostra cara amica a cena con noi. In sintesi, una bellissima serata tra buon cibo, una location spettacolare e uno staff preparato, capace di trasformare un imprevisto in un dettaglio quasi romantico. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
