A charming place, the coffee and fish are delicious, and I have no complaints about the service. If you're not Italian, you have to be aware of the lunch hours! ;)

Sitting in the bookshop area, I sip a "capo in B" (as the macchiato served in a glass cup is called in Trieste) and treat my palate to a "Torta San Marco 1914." I'm timeless, yet I'm here, at this red marble table, surrounded by nothing but beauty. Before leaving, I buy a few books by Trieste writers, hoping to take a little of this magical atmosphere home with me.

Such a hidden gem in the heart of the beautiful city of Trieste. An absolute recommendation for every visitor here. The coffee and the cake are amazing, the stuff are welcoming; i changed the order 2 times and the waiter was cool about it. There was just a delay in delivering the my order but it is explainable because there were too many people.

The period bar with an adjoining bookshop. You can read newspapers like in the old days, immersed in the past. A must-see for anyone visiting Trieste.

Locale storico di Trieste, intriso di storia. Locale meraviglioso, servizio così così. Pranzo tra amici, rapporto qualità prezzo non adeguato.

Quattro stelle e non cinque solo perché il personale è decisamente musone e diciamo che un sorriso di cortesia, soprattutto quando un cliente attende molto pur avendo prenotato, sarebbe doveroso.
A parte questo, la cucina è veramente ottima, raffinata come si confà ad un ambiente di questo livello. I dolci sono meravigliosi, i caffè variamente assortiti come la storicità di questo locale prevede. Il luogo è bellissimo, dove respiri la storia e puoi anche fare una tappa in libreria
