We were there after lunch on a weekday. It was full. Since we didn't want to have lunch, but just wanted coffee and cookies, they sat us outside at tables on the street. This practically ruined the atmosphere of the place. The coffee and cookies were delicious.

The atmosphere is very beautiful and evocative, being one of the most historic restaurants in Italy and Trieste. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. We highly recommend the desserts because they are truly delicious. The only downside was that it was very hot inside. Regarding the price: we booked through TheFork and had a 20% discount, but we still paid €35 per person. A bit pricey.

Locale storico di Trieste, intriso di storia. Locale meraviglioso, servizio così così. Pranzo tra amici, rapporto qualità prezzo non adeguato.

Quattro stelle e non cinque solo perché il personale è decisamente musone e diciamo che un sorriso di cortesia, soprattutto quando un cliente attende molto pur avendo prenotato, sarebbe doveroso. A parte questo, la cucina è veramente ottima, raffinata come si confà ad un ambiente di questo livello. I dolci sono meravigliosi, i caffè variamente assortiti come la storicità di questo locale prevede. Il luogo è bellissimo, dove respiri la storia e puoi anche fare una tappa in libreria
