Good traditional dishes, professional but friendly staff, ok service, good products at the counter and the location of the restaurant. I would happily return.

Holiday day, few places open for lunch, difficult to find a seat: Gildo is waiting for us at 2pm, we arrive on time, our table is there ready to wait for us. Two typical dishes, sauerkraut soup and goulash gnocchi, side dish with potato croquettes and a legendary mixed salad with tomatoes and beans (!). All excellent, plentiful, quality. Quick service, low prices. We'll be back. I recommend booking.

Always fantastic, I stopped again after a year from the last visit to Trieste... what can I say, Buffet da Gildo never disappoints, friendly staff and food that calling it "excellent" is not enough (so much so that I went back to take away for dinner too). Calamari always top, also the patate in tecia and the strudel delicious. Strong point? The super honest prices 🙂

Eh non ho resistito, anche se mi ero già abbuffata Al Spaceto, dopo tanto tempo, sono tornata da Gildo, anche per vedere se era cambiato qualcosa col cambio di proprietà. Non è cambiato ! Sempre al top per qualità (le melanzane e zucchine fritte qui sono le migliori al mondo per me) e simpatia!

Elegí el piatto gildo una combinación de comida regional: jamón, salchicha y hotdog con patatas y kraut chucrut. en realidad era bastante delicioso. sin embargo, el rábano picante rallado en la parte superior estaba seco y no picante. la cerveza de barril era genial. llegué lo suficientemente temprano a la hora del almuerzo para conseguir una mesa. servicio era genial y no me apresuraron ya que se llenó de clientes de almuerzo. un montón de lugareños e incluso trabajadores de cuello azul parecen frecuentarlo.
