Bistrò 51 - Restaurant & Lounge In Trieste

The restaurant looks beautiful. It was very quiet there. The service is very friendly and formal. The bread tasted very good and the amuse-bouche we received had a very surprising flavor. You also get a glass of house prosecco. I had duck breast fillet; the meat was good, but the presentation was very sparse. 2 pieces of caramelized onions and some apple sauce-like dollops. No sauce or side dishes; this was also the case for my partner, who had the Angus steak. The tiramisu and the chocolate ball were very tasty. Definitely recommended!

We went out to eat with two children and it was really very good, highly recommended.

Hidden away outside the central tourist districts, Bistro 51 is a local restaurant that serves absolutely outstanding, elevated food. I was served a regional sparkling wine as soon as I sat down; the waiter brought me an amuse bouché as the first course; I ordered the delicate scallops antipasto with a potato cream; this was followed by shrimp pasta and then an absolutely superb filet of tenderloin beef. If that wasn't enough, I had a minty tiramisu-like dessert, followed by complimentary limoncello (and the waiter had brought out some bread earlier to supplement the main courses). I also had a lovely sauvignon blanc along with my meal. The waiter was kind, professional and had many nice suggestions. He even politely dealt with my limited Italian language skills. I am glad I had a 30 minute walk back to my apartment to walk off such an amazing meal. I am also glad I took a chance to experience such a wonderful restaurant off the beaten track. This is my new go-to place in Trieste.

Four of us stopped for dinner after the theater and an aperitif in the square, and it was a fantastic discovery. The service is impeccable and incredibly attentive: upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a splendid entrée—a level of customer service that truly makes a difference. All the dishes are delicious, refined, and beautifully presented, accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. The most surprising thing is the value: for such excellent quality, the prices are incredibly fair, a level hard to find elsewhere. Reservations are recommended. We'll definitely be back; one of the best restaurants in the area!

I dined at Area Bistro 51 and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere: modern, welcoming, and meticulously crafted. The staff was impeccable, friendly, and eager to recommend the best dishes of the day. The quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. It's the perfect place for both a romantic dinner and a get-together with friends.

Excellent food, the scallops and sea bream were both exceptional. Staff very welcoming and knowledgeable about all the food and wine that we had. This place is off the beaten track but well worth the effort.

Tourists in Trieste, drawn by chance by the good reviews. An intimate, very charming, refined, and pleasant place. Greeted with a welcome appetizer and a glass of bubbles (the details that make the difference). SPECTACULAR food.... few courses but of superlative delicacy and quality. The service was absolutely in line with everything else: professional and impeccable!! Congratulations!!!
