I'm a driver from Bologna. It was my first time here, recommended by a local. The staff and owner were truly top-notch. The place was clean and bright. The lunch was truly delicious. The price was more than fair (which doesn't hurt considering the weather). Parking is available next door. I should point out that I'm not a friend of the restaurant, and this is an objective review. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I dined here on Sunday evening. I recommend it to fish lovers, but they also have meat dishes for those with allergies like my husband. The staff is extremely friendly, the dishes are plentiful, and the prices are reasonable for the service, food quality, and serving size. There was no wait between courses, even though we were a small group. We were greeted with a complimentary prosecco and entrees. Convenient parking is available next to the restaurant. My only disappointment was the large, aquarium-like tank in the center of the restaurant with lobsters. Otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend and we actually had a great time. The quality of the raw materials was excellent and cooked to perfection, the service was impeccable, the restaurant was elegant and the price of the food was proportionate to its goodness.

I was invited to a company dinner. I wasn't familiar with this restaurant, and the experience was very pleasant. The place is clean, tidy, and very bright. The chairs are very comfortable, and there's plenty of space between the tables, allowing for conversation without interfering with other diners. The dishes were well-prepared and, above all, tasty. I enjoyed the tasting menu. Excellent! I highly recommend it. The fish was good and fresh. The owner is a wonderful person, always available and attentive to his customers. The young staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant also offers free private parking. Il Beccofino is definitely worth a try. Thank you!

The perceived value is far higher than the actual value. The dishes are generous, well-prepared, and of high quality. A break with excellent food costs €16. I come here when I want to make a good impression, I highly recommend it!

Albergo Ristorante Bologna

08/03/2026: Stayed with family over the weekend of March 6-8. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming: the common areas were just a bit "lived in," yet well-maintained and clean. The room was cozy and spacious: a comfortable bed, an excellent and manageable temperature, and amenities beyond our expectations. The location was perfect: right on the edge of the pedestrian area. The restaurant is fantastic, and after our first dinner, we never changed because of the authentic and balanced flavor (tagliatelle with meat sauce, ossobuco with polenta, a welcome appetizer, and complimentary limoncello). It's clear that the entire team has put in a lot of care, professionalism, and grace. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dried fruit and cereals, and on Sundays, cakes galore. You can tell when someone loves their job. If I were to return to Varese 100 times, I'd always stay at the Hotel Bologna.
