We stayed for five nights over Easter at Palazzo Barbini, a historic residence in the heart of Castiglione del Lago, and the experience was truly enjoyable. The property is ancient and charming, full of character and atmosphere. It's important to note that this is an authentic historic residence, so you have to like that style: those looking for modern, standardized spaces might not fully appreciate its charm. The owner was very kind and helpful. We had a small issue with the heating, but it was resolved quickly and with great care, which we particularly appreciated. Overall, a stay recommended for those who love historic sites, an old-world atmosphere, and a warm welcome.
