Bar San Marcello is a lovely little coffee stop near the Trevi Fountain, and it works especially well for an early morning walk before the area fills up with tourists. I ordered 2 cappuccinos and 1 pastry, and the whole bill came to just 8.50 euros, which felt like excellent value for central Rome. The cappuccinos were smooth, creamy, and well balanced, with a rich flavour that made them easy to enjoy. The pastry was fresh and light, with just the right amount of sweetness to go with the coffee. What I liked most was the atmosphere: calm, local, and unpretentious, with quick service and a relaxed pace that made the stop feel easy and genuine. It is the kind of place you can pop into for a simple breakfast without spending too much time or money, yet still walk away feeling satisfied. Being so close to the Trevi Fountain makes it even better, because you can grab a coffee here and continue straight into one of Rome’s most iconic areas. For a straightforward, affordable, and pleasant start to the day, Bar San Marcello is a solid choice and a spot I would happily return to again.

Good place for breakfast (savory). We tried a very good focaccia, good prices, a beautifully decorated Roman café that we loved the attention to detail, and very good as always in Rome.

The staff member is so kind. It was my first time visiting a cafe in Rome. The croissant was delicious, the cappuccino was delicious, and they gave me great guidance and smiled a lot. 😊

Spectacular!!! If you're looking for a cozy place where breakfast won't break the bank, this is the place to come!! Great coffee and you can sit inside. Sweets and a variety of treats.

03/05/2026: Reliability, professionalism, and kindness. These are the most appropriate words to describe the restaurant and its staff. I was in Rome for two days and had the pleasure of dining several times in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The dishes were exquisite and plentiful. Highly recommended.

09/04/2026: I celebrated my graduation on Wednesday, April 8th at this venue, and I can only leave an extremely positive review. From the very beginning, during the event planning phase, I found the staff to be extremely helpful and professional. They were always ready to listen to every request, offering solutions and helpful advice to make the evening special and perfectly in line with my expectations. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable. Special thanks go to the waiters and all the staff who took care of the room where I celebrated: always present, attentive, kind, and smiling, they contributed significantly to the success of the event and participated enthusiastically in the party. All the guests also had a great time: they appreciated both the atmosphere and the organization, complimenting me on my choice of venue. There was no problem with the gluten-free menu request, which everyone appreciated and enjoyed. The menu is extensive and also suitable for celiacs. I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning an important event; the professionalism, availability, and customer service are truly top-notch. We'll definitely be back, both because the restaurant offers excellent food and for this positive and joyful way of experiencing the world of work, which makes you go home with a full stomach and an even happier heart. Thank you for helping me end my day in the best way I could ever imagine. Thank you, Edoardo, and all the staff. See you soon, Elisa, and all of Sardinia. ❤️
