The braided pastry with raisins was good, but nothing spectacular, perhaps overcooked. The cappuccino was good. The place is a bit dated, but pleasant, with plenty of tables inside and outside. The girl at the counter was very kind. FOUR euros for a cappuccino and braided pastry, NOT TOO.

I accidentally ordered the fried zeppole with cream and black cherries, and they were some of the best I've ever had! And on a day outside of the Feast of St. Joseph, which is incredibly rare in Bologna and the surrounding area! Congratulations! Now that I know you, you'll be my favorite pastry shop! I can't wait to try your other specialties! Thank you!

Update: The interior has expanded with a new room featuring several small tables. I reiterate and confirm my previous review. If you're looking for a special croissant, this is the place. Here you can find some real treats, from the nettle dough croissant with salted caramel, cream and ginger, Sachertorte, pumpkin, and many others. The only flaw is the space: inside there are only a few small tables, while outside there is a small open veranda with a few tables. But the quality and uniqueness of their creations are absolutely worth the visit. I highly recommend...

Summarized in one word: Nirvana. I don't know how this places is not known in the city, this place is the top pasticceria in Bologna by far. I started to go to this place about a year ago and since I discovered it, no other pasticceria could compete. Insanely good croissant, pastries, and little patisserie, made with artigianal ingredients made by the hands of an expert pastry chef. If you go there take the maritozzo, it's the best pastry ever existed since the born of the planet earth, trust me. The only """downside""" the price, is more expensive than the average but this is covered by the insanly good quality that they provide, still a point to take into account when you go there. Greetings to all the staff. If you're looking to a top pastry shop you're definitely in the right place.

My son and I have been coming to Operà for breakfast on weekends for about two years, ever since we discovered the best maritozzo in the world. We've also had the opportunity to appreciate all the pastries they offer: amazing brioches, mini pastries... and recently we ordered a graduation cake with red and chocolate jelly, which was delicious. The prices aren't the cheapest, but they're fair for what they offer, which I'd call "high-end pastries," something you can hardly find these days. Finally, Franco, Caterina, and the ever-smiling Emanuela are unmatched.

Excellent and wide selection of filled and plain brioches and croissants, including vegan options! Very good!!! Wide selection of small pastries! 50-year-old establishment, well-maintained and renovated. No table service (self-service with trays).

For my birthday, I turned to Franco from Pasticceria Opera' because I wanted a spectacular cake, appropriate for the occasion. He listened to my ideas and, in realizing it, added a creative touch, which I was very pleased with. My guests were amazed when they saw the cake arrive. The quality was excellent, as is the rest of his pastry shop.

Super kind and friendly, excellent coffee, excellent croissants, we even ordered some cakes!
