Pizza buona... Ordinerò di nuovo sicuramente!!!

Ci fermiamo in questo locale all’entrata del centro storico, attirati dall’ambiente famigliare e senza fronzoli. Ai tavoli sparsi nel gazebo, una clientela fidelizzata di residenti e lavoratori e qualche turista di passaggio fuori stagione. Scegliamo un tavolo d’angolo con la tovaglia rossa a fiori bianchi. D’intorno e appesi alle pareti vasi di fiori e oggetti che rimandano al Sommo Poeta e alla Divina Commedia. La ragazza ai tavoli ci accoglie con il sorriso. Attenta e professionale, ci spiega i piatti del giorno. Menù legato al territorio, saporito e di sostanza. Prendiamo pasta e fagioli e risotto allo zafferano e pecorino. Cucinati davvero vecchia maniera. Sapori ormai difficili da trovare nei ristoranti. Alla fine ci fermiamo a fare quattro chiacchiere con i proprietari, Carolyn e Fabrizio. Lui di qui, lei inglese. Quarant’anni insieme. A far crescere il Bar Dante, uniti dalla passione per questo lavoro. Carolyn ha raccontato anche in un libro questa storia famigliare, “Life behind in Bar”, in mostra in un angolo all’entrata. A completare la squadra, le figlie. Elisabetta in sala e Carolina dietro al bancone. Torneremo presto, per l’atmosfera che abbiamo trovato e per provare altri piatti della cucina locale!

If we could give Bar Dante 10 stars we would! My wife and I traveled to Radda for 3 weeks with our 4 month old and visited Bar Dante at least 8 or 9 times during our stay. We went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and tried just about the whole menu! Carolyn was incredibly accommodating to us and our baby. The food is all authentic and the bar has been run by Fabrizio and Carolyn for decades. Simply the best bruschetta you will ever taste! When my wife and I think back on our trip for years to come, Bar Dante will always be front and center in our minds. If you visit, don't be afraid to sit back with an extra glass of chianti and watch the world go by from that little corner in Radda!

We stopped for tea, in a welcoming environment with a friendly bartender. Super recommended apple pie!

Incredibly charming little local spot that is perfect for any meal they are open for (we did aperativo here). Served the absolute best bread with olive oil of our entire trip and an outstanding pecorino array. Great cocktails.

Cute cafe in a cute town. It was a rainy day and we stopped for some soup for lunch. I had the bread soup and hubby had pasta fagioli. Both excellent.

Well done above all to Calenzano who is frank and sincere Alexander Il Bocca Only place worth it in Radda in Chianti nice people with big hearts my Tuscany never disappoints

Tropezó en este lugar debido a nuestra primera opción cerrada en nosotros - - pero estábamos contentos como DANTE ofrece buena comida y servicio. ¡Gracias a nuestro servidor en inglés Caroline! Tomé un Panini y el g/f me encantó su sopa de judías toscanas. Para el desierto, me encantó el Tiramisu y la tarta de manzana (Sí, tenemos dos desiertos). Bonito patio también.

Everything what we tried was so full of taste!
