We took a day trip to Ferrara and stopped here for lunch, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The pumpkin cappellacci, cod, and cutlet were exceptional. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We had lunch at Belebuste during a brief visit to Ferrara, after a long time away from home after living there during university. I sought out the wonderful, time-honored atmosphere of the Ghetto and found it intact in the narrow street where the restaurant is located. The welcome was exquisite from the start. We enjoyed a small aperitif, an appetizer of Ferrarese cured meats with delicious pinzini (a savory pie/fried gnocco), and then the inevitable pumpkin cappellacci with meat ragù. Excellent pasta and flavors of a bygone era! To finish, we had a truly exceptional pudding! The place is beautiful and welcoming, with a secluded, almost nocturnal atmosphere. The antique terracotta floors and exposed brick walls, hung with contemporary artwork and relics from the past, give the feeling of being somewhere between the past and the present. Excellent value for money! We'll definitely be back, and best wishes to my beloved Ferrara.

€80 for two last night, including two glasses of red wine, a bottle of water, a first course, two second courses, a side dish, and a dessert. We booked for 8:00 PM and didn't have to wait. We were served and given excellent advice before and during dinner. The waiter is young, friendly, and knows how to describe in detail what to eat, what to drink, and how to pair dishes based on the guests' needs and tastes. Everything was very good. A very beautiful place in the Jewish ghetto, it used to be a stable from the 1920s. Recommended. We were offered complimentary amari.

Eccellenti i primi, ottimi i secondi. Super consigliato.
The place is very cute, and the service is friendly, attentive, and quick. There were two of us, and we had two starters: a delicious bigolo cacio e pepe with crispy guanciale (I could have eaten a ton of it) and cappellacci with pumpkin and ragù (here, however, the ton was already on the plate!). Afterwards, we shared a plate of arrosticini with fries: this was our least favorite dish, as we found the meat to be bland. On the other hand, the fries were perfectly fried. Overall, we really enjoyed the lunch!

Very pleasant discovery with a carefully prepared and non-trivial menu, a successful mix of different gastronomic traditions. Delightful location in medieval Ferrara and excellent service, the guys are absolutely professional and very kind. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Torneremo!
