Located in a small hamlet outside Parma (Gaione), surrounded by greenery and quiet. Davide and his team will welcome you inside. You'll immediately feel at home. The location is well-maintained and clean. The spacious and well-spaced tables allow for quiet and intimate conversation. The service is attentive but never intrusive, and the waitresses are smiling and kind. The menu is clean and offers a selection of dishes that immediately convey a passion for cooking and good food. I highly recommend the Caramelized Onion Cake appetizer and the Umbrina (red drumstick) main course, but the desserts are equally as delicious (not to mention the breadsticks!!). I had a great time and will definitely return. I recommend booking at least a day in advance.

It's an "experience," I like to call it that. I would praise the quality of the ingredients. When you eat the ravioli, you can tell right under the bite that it's handmade. They often get the cooking wrong, but this time it was truly perfect. The presentation is spectacular and perfectly complements the restaurant's atmosphere. The service is professional and knows how to do their job.

I've been to this trattoria in Parma and can say it was an incredible culinary experience! The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The cuisine is typical of Parma, with authentic dishes and authentic flavors. The fettuccine with mushrooms was delicious, and the Parma ham was perfectly sliced. The wine was excellent and well-chosen. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, with a touch of elegance. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the trattoria is always packed with locals.

Excellent traditional and non-traditional dishes, impeccably prepared and plentiful, perfect service, delicious homemade bread and breadsticks, superb onion tart as an appetizer, and homemade gelato. The wines are also top-notch, and the service is attentive and meticulous. I can't find a single flaw. Plus, it's open on Mondays, when almost all restaurants in Parma are closed.

Nous avons très bien mangé dans ce restaurant élégant, fréquenté principalement par des italiens. Belle cuisine inventive, conseils de vins à prix raisonnables, enooorme glace minute comme dessert. Une bien jolie expérience.

13/12/2025: We found this place by chance during our Lazio trip to Parma...excellent food and great service...so much so that we'll get a season ticket!!! The price was also very reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Parma Rotta

14/12/2025: We took the opportunity to come to Parma to visit with two nephews who are attending university, and together we tried dinner at Parma Rotta. It was a delightful experience: the restaurant was excellent, the service impeccable, and the waiter who accompanied us during dinner was excellent (a young man of Tunisian origin who attends university, whose name we don't know). The quality of the food was excellent (traditional tortelli and then the sublime Portuguese steak), not to mention their fiordilatte ice cream with zabaglione sauce, wow. We'll definitely be back.
13/12/2025: Highly recommended restaurant. Greeted with smiles, super courteous and professional staff. Super busy, but wait times were extremely short. Fabulous salami, especially the sweetest prosciutto. Pork shank cooked to perfection, varied and excellent appetizers. Herb tortelli that respect tradition. Finally, the desserts... sublime. Must try the homemade fiordilatte ice cream made with organic milk... and the panettone with zabaglione. Sublime
