I really want to like that place And it has all of the potencial to be the best BUT 1) a bit understaffed - 3 waiters for the packed restaurant with such price level and service expectation is strange 2) slow turnover of drinks - waited with empty glass for 10 minutes… 3) fish of the day… need to gain some weight as it is a MAIN DISH… I was even asked if it is for 1 or for 2 🤣 I barely managed to satisfy oneself with that… also bone picking is the new sport here 4) on my slight complaint about shells in crab (which can cause serious injuries btw) waiter just said - well, this happens… Well… Yeah… it does…

This authentic seafood restaurant is hidden in a small road. It is still crowded after 6pm, which shows that it is very popular with locals. The ingredients are very fresh. Recommended!

Con un gruppo di amici abbiamo deciso di fare una esperienza culinaria in questo storico locale e mai esperienza fu più azzeccata. Locale molto bello, tavoli esterni accoglienti. Camerieri preparati w simpatici. Servizio veloce, ottimo cibo e non da meno il vino. Personalmente ho ordinato un piatto di crudo di pesce, una frittura di calamari e baccalà mantecato (che mi ha conquistato). Altri del gruppo hanno ordinato e apprezzato la loto tipica granseola. Abbiamo anche apprezzato il prosecco di benvenuto e gli amari gentilmente offerti. Eccellenza da valorizzare sempre più.

Un peu écarté des passages des touristes. Petite terrasse ,salle agréable typique trattoria. Accueil chaleureux service très bien et bons conseils. Risotto parfait. Poisson cru excellent. Poissons grillés très bien. Dessert mousse chocolat un peu petite . Carte des vins de la région bon rapport qualité prix.

27/07/2025: Great food; great prices. Twice as much food for half the price than the previous evening in the busy centre. Everything was delicious. The pizza was perfect, the gnocchi was melt in your mouth and the meatballs were plentiful. The service was quick and polite. We were the first people in for dinner so not much atmosphere but that's not the restaurant's fault; we prefer it quiet anyway. Would recommend to anyone visiting Trieste.
20/07/2025: very local place definitely not for tourists our first time but both pasta we tried was incredibly good (pasta carbonara and fusilli saporiti) totally recommendable ☺️

Trattoria alla Casetta

01/09/2025: The service is homey, pampered, and attentive. The waiters are young and well-organized. The wine list is interesting and offers a good selection. The raw fish was fresh and clean-tasting. The tagliolini were simply superb. The fried fish was well-prepared and varied. The garden inside is very charming and well-kept. A lovely find in the city center! See you soon
20/08/2025: Had dinner for my partner's party, I would say excellent food, excellent service, excellent everything, ate a tuna steak, excellent restaurant to absolutely try 🤩
