Antica Trattoria Menarosti In Trieste

This restaurant was recommended to us, and I have to say that not only did we have a great time, but we also left feeling very satisfied. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the waiters were truly helpful and knowledgeable. The only small drawback was the long wait, but we weren't in a rush and enjoyed the evening. Congratulations!

Excellent food in a historic atmosphere

A name that's a guarantee. You eat excellently in a beautiful setting. I absolutely recommend it.

Interesting decor and atmosphere. You're immersed in a bygone era. We were seated at a table and were assigned because we hadn't made a reservation. The owner was apparently sitting at a desk right next to us in the dining room, taking calls, processing bills, eating sandwiches, and looking at his Instagram. It's funny, aside from that, the menu is relatively small and manageable, with daily specials or fresh catch, but prices aren't communicated. The food overall was delicious. We had crab. We had fish marinated in onion and vinegar. However, I've had better versions. Overall, the food was okay, the accompanying wines were also very good, but overall, you could call the evening a success, not outstanding.

Great food, drinks and service.

Had a fantastic experience at dinner here. The area has quite a high concentration of restaurants, so you might miss this one. The inside is elegant and full of atmosphere. While there's a diverse offering in the menu, they're best known for marine food. The appetizers with a type of shark was very particular, something I never tasted before. Then I also tried the conchiglie del giorno gratinate, which were excellent. Pasta all'uovo fresca con gamberi was top notch, but cannot go wrong with the spaghetti alle vongole. To finish It all, a classic fritto misto to enjoy whatever marine food Trieste has to offer. Extremely appreciated was a glass of Prosecco, offered by the restaurant. Aside of the excellent culinary experience, I want to commend Nicolò for the SUPERB service he did. Not only his suggestions were perfect, but he helped immensely some japanese guests with his impressive japanese speaking skills (not surprising since he's a wine export manager to Japan and also a sommelier). I recommend this restaurant for sure, it's been added in my favorites already.

Excellent place to eat seafood in Trieste, the wine cellar is beautifully presented. Excellent quality seafood, completely satisfied with the service, appetizer, soup, and dessert. If you're in Trieste and want to eat seafood, you've come to the right place!

Con un gruppo di amici abbiamo deciso di fare una esperienza culinaria in questo storico locale e mai esperienza fu più azzeccata. Locale molto bello, tavoli esterni accoglienti. Camerieri preparati w simpatici. Servizio veloce, ottimo cibo e non da meno il vino. Personalmente ho ordinato un piatto di crudo di pesce, una frittura di calamari e baccalà mantecato (che mi ha conquistato). Altri del gruppo hanno ordinato e apprezzato la loto tipica granseola. Abbiamo anche apprezzato il prosecco di benvenuto e gli amari gentilmente offerti. Eccellenza da valorizzare sempre più.

Un peu écarté des passages des touristes. Petite terrasse ,salle agréable typique trattoria. Accueil chaleureux service très bien et bons conseils. Risotto parfait. Poisson cru excellent. Poissons grillés très bien. Dessert mousse chocolat un peu petite . Carte des vins de la région bon rapport qualité prix.
