L'Eco della Grotta: Stunning Melody, Not Always Perfect Highs I must admit, when it comes to impressive locations, I'm always a bit skeptical about the cuisine. Here, however, the setting is truly breathtaking: dining in these ancient caves is an evocative experience that alone is worth a visit. The cuisine, however, left me with mixed feelings. I still remember the aroma that filled the table, a prelude to meat that literally melted in my mouth. "Now this is serious stuff," I thought to myself. One of my fellow diners, however, found an equally ambitious dish surprisingly timid, almost bland. The service is prompt, almost rushed at times, with a friendly staff that shows some uncertainty when tested on the winemaking details. The bill is significant.

We made a reservation for dinner in the cave and it was such a cool experience. It is a little musty in the cave but it didn’t damper our experience at all. The food was very good (the burrata pasta was a highlight for us). The lamb chops were ok but lacked seasoning, the duck was good. But the pasta was the very good! Service was great.

We ate at this restaurant a week ago now, and I keep thinking about the eggplant crepes—incredible! Wonderful atmosphere, impeccable service, very fair prices for the quality of the dishes, and a special mention to the lovely lady at the front desk. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Wow. Don’t miss this medieval cave dining experience if you are visiting Siena. The atmosphere is SO romantic & the service is outstanding. Our server expertly helped us choose a wine, first and second courses; which all paired together beautifully. Make sure part of your meal is selected from their special “truffle” section of the menu. We were blessed to be seated without reservations on a Monday night… So plan ahead & book a table here! Easily our favorite dinner of our whole trip to Italy.

The excellent food pairs perfectly with the beauty of the cave setting. Unique flavors and sensations not to be missed. The chef is top-notch, and the owner is superb!

A superb restaurant, the dishes are delicious, traditional, and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is very romantic and warm in an old building that extends over a small cave dug into the mountain. I place a lot of emphasis on the service, which is worthy of a palace. I highly recommend it!

Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante e abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Gli antipasti, i primi e i secondi erano tutti ma proprio TUTTI molto buoni. Il personale gentile e professionale, i tempi di attesa giusti, il costo piuttosto elevato ma corretto visto che abbiamo mangiato cibi costosi. Lo raccomando.

Pranzo con la mia famiglia. Siamo stati veramente bene: personale cordiale e attento, piatti della tradizione e non eccezionali. Allego foto. Da ragazza che studia a Siena ormai da anni posso dire che tornerei sicuramente in questa osteria. Dagli antipasti ai primi piatti é stato tutto un crescendo. Una menzione speciale al flan con il cuore di pecorino di pienza.
