To the excellent overall rating for the menu, service, and ambiance, I'd like to add my personal comment: the direct relationship with the owner is always crucial. Mr. Vito, with his discreet yet friendly and professional presence, would deserve a sixth star for the "ambiance."

This place was a happy, if accidental, discovery. Excellent in every way: from the historic location, to the hospitality, to the menu. An elegant venue—in the heart of Lucca—that is both welcoming and understated; the wine list is truly remarkable. There were four of us, and we all ordered different dishes, but all had one comment: excellent! From appetizers to dessert, every dish was truly superb! The service was meticulous. Truly a place to recommend, and for me, THE restaurant to return to on my next visit to Lucca.

A wonderful dinner in Lucca's historic center. The best restaurant in the city center... excellent food and impeccable service. The owner was able to accommodate every request! If you haven't stopped here for lunch or dinner, you haven't been to Lucca!

A wonderful time with a particularly warm and attentive welcome. We were lucky enough to enjoy a dish of perfectly cooked fresh porcini mushrooms, sautéed with garlic and herbs. A real treat. A very good dish too. We'll be back!

We went here after a recommendation so expectations were high. Unfortunately, although everyone was very friendly and the food we ate was quite tasty, it was not as good as many of the other restaurants we tried in Lucca, service was extremely slow and prices were high compared to elsewhere.

I had lunch at this restaurant in Lucca's historic center with my wife a few days ago. The place is welcoming and has an intimate atmosphere, with comfortable, well-spaced tables. The dishes are well-prepared, with a tasty Sicilian touch that reflects the owners' origins.
The attentive and courteous service puts you at ease without being unnecessarily formal.
I hope to return, perhaps to have lunch in the restaurant's lovely outdoor area (which wasn't possible due to the weather).

We stumbled upon it by chance and immediately realized we'd found a wonderful restaurant. Not to mention the courtesy, a kindness that never hurts, the excellent food both in flavor and presentation, and the signature dishes, from the bread to the Lucchese tordelli... my mouth is watering just thinking about it... we'll definitely be back to try the fish-based first courses.
