This evening I went to the cicchetteria "All'Ombra della Piazza," in the heart of Padua. I tasted some truly delicious meatballs, available in a variety of flavors and all prepared with great care. The service was impeccable: the staff at the counter were kind, smiling, and very helpful, heating up my meatballs on the spot. A welcoming place, where you can experience the authentic flavors of Veneto and the convivial atmosphere of the city. Recommended for those who love quality and simplicity done well.

Fan-tas-tic. The absolute best place you can find in Padua. Incredibly delicious sandwiches, pizzette, and absolutely fantastic wine. A wonderful atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. We went here three times during our four-day trip (one day we didn't because they were closed). I highly recommend it.

I'm not from Padua, but every time I pass through town I stop here for an aperitivo. The cicchetti are delicious and high-quality. The spritz is also excellent. Fair prices and a pleasant atmosphere.

Great experience! I recommend it if you're downtown and want a delicious aperitivo with cicchetti and good wine. They have both an indoor (rather small) and outdoor seating.

The service is not very nice with those who go out to smoke and they make you feel bad for not using the table and staying seated the whole time.

A fantastic little bar for appertivo, light meals etc. Everything comes out of their wood fired oven. The chiccetti and dopio crunches are fantastic. Great local wines and beers and the staff are really friendly

Locale con una manciata di posti a sedere all'esterno, sotto i portici ci sono un paio di mensole per appoggiare il piattino se scegliete di mangiare qualcosa. Buona scelta di vini, ottimi gli spriz fatti a regola d'arte (arancia o limone e soprattutto l'oliva, che se non ha l'oliva per me non è uno spriz completo), ampia scelta di cicchetti (crostini di tutti i generi e polpette) uno meglio dell'altro. Ho chiesto al personale un mix senza carne e comunque la scelta è ampissima, con alcune tipologie molto sfiziose. In alcuni orari è molto affollato ma il servizio resta veloce.
