The place is pleasant, historic, in the center of the wonderful Volterra. We ate appetizers, tagliatelle with wild boar, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. A real goodness. Well-groomed service. Great prices

We happened to be there while passing through in Volterra, we stopped for lunch, we had a fabulous CARBONARA... it was so good that we will definitely be back to eat it again.... the pizzas are also absolutely recommended..... just like the old one... manner......!!

After seeing the reviews we decided to go anyway and I have to say that sometimes they should deny the possibility of writing to frustrated people. The food was good, the quantities were normal and the staff were friendly... perhaps staying indoors for two years watching Masterchef didn't make us "come out better" but only more polemical towards those who do their job well. Keep it up, congratulations

Place in a small street behind Piazza dei Priori, friendly staff, the place is welcoming. Some tables in front of the counter/oven area and two internal rooms. Wood-fired oven. Good pizza in my opinion. The choice is very vast, with the possibility, with a small increase in price (around two euros), to also choose the type of dough (kamut, charcoal, wholemeal and others). Prices normal.

Rock solid. Simple restaurant, a bit cramped. Service friendly, unobtrusive. The pizzas were delicious, I just didn't like the espresso. Price-performance ratio fits.

14/07/2024: I've been to Bar Volturno twice and I can only speak highly of it. I only tried the breakfast, but I must say that I was satisfied. Excellent cappuccino, both regular and decaffeinated with added cocoa, "Tre Marie" brioches, which I also find in a bar in the village where I live and are delicious. Great variety of sweet and savory products for breakfast and snacks (brioches, cannoli, focaccine, pizza) or takeaway. Excellent freshly squeezed orange juice. Very friendly and polite staff who serve the tables and clear the table quickly. Strategic position for those who need to use hospital services. Simple place, but clean and essential. Average prices. I really don't understand what people who give low scores and want to spend less and less want to find. Ah, poor world!
