Entriamo nel ristorante in due adulti e una bambina di due anni. Il locale è arredato classicamente, l’accoglienza è ottima. Il menù tipicamente di pesce sembra invitante. Al sottoscritto non piace il pesce, ma scegliamo il locale anche perché c’è scritto sul menu “anche chi non gradisce il pesce è nostro ospite”. Quindi ordino l’unico antipasto di terra disponibile in menu, parmigiana dí melanzane. Dopo 5 minuti la cameriera esce e mi dice che è finita… quindi niente antipasto. Uno chef in gamba avrebbe trovato una soluzione, anche solo una bruschetta con le fette di pane e un po’ di pomodoro.. Poi… Ordiniamo fettuccine ma arrivano tagliolini. Il pane è servito nel cartoccio. Alla bimba cade per terra un pezzo di pane mezzo masticato. Prendo il cartoccio vuoto e ci metto dentro il pane raccolto, accartocciandolo. Chiedo quindi un altro po’ di pane, ma la cameriera mi riporta lo stesso carroccio con dentro del pane e anche il pezzo di pane mezzo masticato di prima. Nel primo di penne con crostacei e molluschi (senza gusci) troviamo una lisca (non abbiamo ordinato pesce con lische….). Va beh… delusi, dopo il dolce che non è male, prendiamo il caffè. Io ordino un decaffeinato e la cameriera mi dice “non ce l’abbiamo il decaffeinato”: beh non mi è mai successa una cosa del genere in un ristorante… Rapporto qualità/prezzo, per quello che abbiamo mangiato e pagato, non buona. Peccato.

A rather unusual culinary experience. On the surface, everything seems fine—decent food with no major flaws—but when the bill arrives, you can’t help but feel like you expected more for the price, leaving you disappointed. Risotto can only be ordered in a double portion, which drives up the price of what is essentially a simple dish of rice and additions to that of a good steak (44 EUR). The fish is fresh and locally caught, but it’s prepared in the simplest way—just heat treatment. Some might enjoy the pure taste of fish, but I can achieve the same flavor by buying fish at the market and throwing it on the grill myself. I don’t need a restaurant for that. Alongside the fish comes radicchio, tossed on the plate without any finesse, and crispy, tasty polenta. The restaurant offers a good wine selection, but the staff lacks knowledge about the grape varieties and origins. Once again, I find myself comparing quality to price. And so, disappointment prevails... As per response to owner: The owner's response is exceptionally arrogant and warrants a comment. It's clear that the kitchen is designed for the convenience of the chefs, not the customers. I tried to be fair in my review, but some people let their success go to their heads. I've traveled across Italy extensively and have never encountered a requirement to order risotto for two people. Moreover, a simple walk around Chioggia is enough to see that this claim is untrue. Even in Bologna, I never paid €22 for risotto. Simple, rustic flavors can certainly be appreciated, but such flavors should come at an honest price, not at gourmet rates. This is a case of style over substance and ego over reason. It’s better to go to Osteria Penzo, just opposite —a family-run, friendly place with a wonderful owner who treats tourists just as well as locals. And the food is more honest too.

Excellent restaurant in the center, located in the historic Piazza Vigo. A lunch or dinner break with a direct view of the lagoon is unparalleled!

Good gluten-free cuisine, beautiful surroundings and courtesy of the staff were all elements that will make me come back again. Well done.

Very nice, welcoming and well-kept place, in an excellent location in the historic centre. The staff is very professional, prepared and makes you feel at home. Last, but not least, the food. Excellent quality and plentiful dishes. I highly recommend it if you are in Chioggia 😊😊😊

Location molto carina, offe tipica cucina chioggiotta, locale accogliente titolari gentili, piatti di buona qualità però un po’ scarsi di quantità, tempi di attesa un po’ lunghi, prezzi leggermente alti.

You have reserved a greeting even though the restaurant is empty. The dishes we ordered were not there. I don't think this restaurant will be open that long
