Albamare In Alba

We had lunch at the Albamare in Alba choosing two tasting menus: one from the land and one from the sea, accompanied by two excellent local wines, an Arneis and a Barbera. The experience was simply fantastic, a true journey through authentic flavors and tradition. Each course highlighted the exceptional quality of the raw materials and attention to detail. The plin, in particular, stood out for their taste and delicacy, a true masterpiece of Piedmontese cuisine. Even the seafood dishes provided very pleasant surprises, with balanced combinations and unparalleled freshness. The welcome was warm and genuine, with impeccable service and a pleasant chat with the owners, father and son, who passionately convey their love for their work. This human touch made the lunch even more special. A high-level culinary experience. Absolutely recommended!

Non fatevi ingannare dal nome. La proposta è molto ampia e spazia dalla carne al pesce. Per un pranzo veloce abbiamo ordinato un piatto unico. Molto buono il vitello tonnato che seppur non rappresenta la classica ricetta e’ stato decisamente molto gustoso. Tanta la scelta dei vini focalizzata sul Alba e dintorni. Molto gentile e professionale il servizio.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant in Alba, an establishment that is definitely worth a visit! From the appetizer to the dessert, each dish was simply perfect. The flavors were both subtle and exquisite, and you could really sense the attention paid to every detail. Even the bread is homemade, as is the limoncello, which adds an artisanal touch that we greatly appreciate. The service was impeccable: the servers, of rare kindness, were attentive throughout the evening, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where you feel welcomed and pampered, in addition to enjoying sublime cuisine. If you are looking for a restaurant where everything is perfect – from the first moment to the last – I highly recommend Alba.

The family has its roots at the Amalfi coast which is reflected in the menu where you can find a bit more fish than normally in Piedmont. We had both lunch one day and dinner the day after - it was so good and service so friendly we had to return for more excellent food. Menus in Piedmont tend not to vary very much between the places, there is strong pride in regional dishes so Albamare is a nice break. The owner family were so helpful and complaisance sorting out our kids special wishes outside the menu. The lemon and prawn risotto was made in heaven! As secondo both the octopus with Sicilian caponata and the steak (sottofiletto) were outstanding. If I ever return to Alba, which is likely, I will for sure come back to this pearl of a restaurant.

Il cibo è davvero buono, ma purtroppo la temperatura della sala da pranzo rende difficile godersi appieno il pasto.

Abbiamo mangiati pesce: ottima qualità del cibo, ottimo servizio, ampia scelta di vini...un po' caro...
