Al Vecchio Teatro con Camere In Ortona

We went for Sunday lunch; we already knew this place, but we have to say it was exciting to return. We were warmly welcomed by the very professional and friendly wait staff, who seated us at a table with a breathtaking view. We had some very special appetizers: mackerel on a bed of pepper cream, scampi, and a mussel soup, and a mixed roast accompanied by a good rosé wine from Tenuta Fauri. We also noticed that they have a well-stocked cellar with both local and international wines, which were professionally presented to us, so, piqued by our curiosity, we also tasted another excellent wine, Les Piplettes. Finally, a delicate wild berry cheesecake with a delightfully soft crust that melted in the mouth. A delicious lunch, a pleasant atmosphere, and a professional welcome that immediately put you at ease; the love for good food and culinary mastery of seafood is evident. I would recommend it because it's worth it, excellent value for money.

We stopped at this restaurant while strolling along the Ortona viewpoint, and I must say we were completely satisfied with the food and the helpfulness of Mr. Adamo, who was able to advise us on our choices. We especially appreciated the dessert we were offered before our coffee, the Nevola Ortonese. It's an ancient dessert with a history passed down through generations, delicious and very delicate. We'll definitely be back.

Aside from the beautiful sea view just steps from the castle, I want to applaud the owner, who is always kind and helpful. Beyond the wines and dishes on display, you can clearly see the passion he puts into his work. We will definitely return. The food is excellent.

We went for lunch today and it was a pleasant discovery: excellent food, quick and courteous service, plus we delighted in a breathtaking view from the terrace directly on the oriental and to conclude Adamo (the manager) served us with extreme kindness and wisdom, we will definitely be back!

We happened to be there for lunch while three of us were strolling by. Attracted by the panoramic view, they reserved a table for us on the veranda. Excellent food, exquisite and very fresh fish, and delicious gnocchi handmade by the owner. The owner is superb, very friendly, and a true host. He even gave us a chili pepper he picked himself this morning, which we had carelessly left on the table. If we ever find ourselves in Ortona again, we will definitely stop by. 5 well-deserved stars

During my vacation in Abruzzo, I dined at this restaurant a total of eight evenings. Excellent selection. The owner was very kind and helpful. The dishes were both a feast for the palate and the eye. I tried the entire menu, even multiple times. The calamarata was excellent, and the grilled fish was top notch. All the appetizers were interesting, especially the raw ham. The price was reasonable for the quality. Be careful, don't expect generous portions like those at a village fair. Ordering two courses, perhaps even dessert, won't leave you hungry.
