Al Vecchio Mulino In Modica

I visited this restaurant recently and was very pleased with it. The setting is elegant and welcoming, with a pleasant yet slightly rustic atmosphere, making the experience enjoyable and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful, attentive but never intrusive. The menu offers a good variety of dishes, including the excellent pizzas, a well-balanced mix of tradition and creativity. My meal was beautifully plated and prepared with quality ingredients. The flavors were authentic and harmonious. The wait times were also more than reasonable. The prices are in line with the quality, with no surprises. Ultimately, it's a place I'd happily return to and recommend to anyone looking for a well-prepared meal in a pleasant setting.

Good pizza, suitable for celiacs

After not coming to this restaurant for many years, hearing that the management had changed, I returned a few nights ago and ate outside. The service was truly attentive and thorough, the food good, with truly unique dishes like the carob fettuccine with yellow cherry tomatoes on a cream of Ragusano cheese. Given how successful it was tonight, we returned with friends and were unpleasantly surprised that we couldn't eat outside due to the excessive humidity—which wasn't there. The difference is significant, given that the air conditioning was inadequate. The pasta itself lacked the yellow cherry tomatoes and was served with red cherry tomatoes and no Ragusano cheese. The napkins, which are paper on the outside—a shameful lapse in style—into cloth bags with cutlery inside—at least that much—and the service was inattentive and decidedly slow. Bottom line: we had the impression that the staff had been absent, and this had convinced them to concentrate the customers in one place without the service being up to par. The first course, which was delicious last time, was truly subpar this evening, given the lack of ingredients, and no one bothered to warn us that it would be different from what was listed on the menu. Quite an expense considering the €20 price tag, which seems way too much for a first course. In short, if you get a good experience, don't repeat the experience; you might be disappointed...!!!

Excellent pizza, quality products, excellent service

The appetizer and pizza were really good. They have both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Even though we arrived late, they welcomed us kindly and served us promptly.

Nice outside area by the road. Parking is not an issue. Worth visiting, one of the best in that location.

A very decent restaurant, much more than a pizzeria. Nice, well-kept outdoor seating area. Warm welcome from two delightful, beautifully-dressed ladies. Excellent food at reasonable prices, efficiently served. Highly recommended.

Really pleasant experience! The pizza is excellent: great dough, fresh and well-balanced ingredients. The service was impeccable, with friendly, attentive and always available staff. A place to return to, perfect for a quiet and tasty evening. Highly recommended

One of the few pizzerias, perhaps the only one in Modica that makes vegan pizzas (note the plural) and for this alone a thousand stars! All the pizzas are good. Excellent cooking, but the desserts are thrilling, they are so exquisite! A must if you want to know another Modica, the more rural one
