I went with my family and friends. The place was small and cute, the staff were friendly, and the spaghetti all'assassina was good. Unfortunately, what I didn't like was the seafood. Everything was bland, from the tagliatelle to the scampi and violets. It definitely wasn't the freshest. The price was high for the quality. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back.

The owner of the Airbnb apartment recommended this place to us. We didn't book a table, which was our mistake. We had a very long wait (it was a Friday), but the staff immediately informed us there would be one, so we were grateful we managed to get one at all. We sat outside on the street, so the atmosphere wasn't great, hence the 4-star rating.
As for the food, everything was very good and the service was great. We said we wanted to try local flavors and were given a large plate of appetizers first, followed by spaghetti alla assasinna and orecchiette with turnips for main course. We also had good house wine. It was a very pleasant evening of home-cooked food. Thank you!

I really wanted to try spaghetti all' assasina and I think this is the best place for it! The food is great, the service also. One of our best dinner in Bari!

We had the pleasure of dining at Al Sorso Preferito, the birthplace of Spaghetti all’Assassina, and it did not disappoint. From the reservation call—where a kind woman patiently helped me despite my beginner Italian—to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, everything felt special.
We ordered the house red wine and were surprised with a generous pitcher—smooth, local, and incredibly easy to drink. Our server recommended the fried artichokes for aperitivo, and they were excellent.
The Spaghetti all’Assassina was the star of the meal: bold, spicy, and absolutely delicious. My husband’s orecchiette al ragù was also fantastic. Great food, great service, and a must-visit in Bari. 🍝🍷

The spaghetti all'assasina and sporcamus are so good I can't find the words to describe them. The staff is kind and super attentive. The prices are very reasonable. An absolute must-see when in Bari.

Dinner this evening with my wife.
Historic restaurant, beautiful, clean. Quality food and service. Typical dishes, delicious fish. The pasta all'assassina was a must.
Very good desserts; and then the difference was the professional, kind, and polite waiting staff. Thanks to Mr. Nino who served us.

This restaurant in the center of Bari invented spaghetti all'assassina. You absolutely have to try it; it's amazing. The various appetizers are also excellent, and the price is absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. I gave the service 4 stars because, while really friendly, I found it to be imprecise and inattentive at times. Still, it's definitely worth a try!

Perfect place to try Spaghetti all’Assassina, the signature dish of Bari. We also had great starters—especially the fried polenta, which was awesome! If you want an authentic food experience in Bari, this is the place to go. Just eat a little beforehand, as the portions are big! Service was fast and friendly!
