The spaghetti alla assassina, a pasta dish that's been trending in Lille for several years, is said to be made right here! It's still relatively unknown to Korean tourists, but while you're in Bari, I highly recommend trying the original pasta dish! It's a completely different flavor from any Italian pasta I've ever had, and it's a dish you won't find in Korea, making it even more delicious. The sautéed mussels were also incredibly delicious... The portions were generous, and I was completely stuffed! There are a lot of locals here, so I recommend making a reservation in advance! (There was a table available when I made a reservation the afternoon before.)

We'd been away for a few years. We found a lively, very popular place with good food. The assassina and appetizers were good. A nice throwback.

Beautiful place, and everything was delicious, from the mussels to the killer pasta. The staff was incredibly kind; I was alone, and they welcomed me at the last minute for lunch. Best regards to all of you.

We were recommended the Al Sordo Preferido restaurant. A different experience, eating pasta that was very tasty and a little spicy, which is the best. We ordered several plates. Here are the photos. Recommended. I would go back again.

A dream come true! Old fashioned restaurant in Bari central, serving excellent local dishes with fantastic service. I expected crazy prices, but really felt looked after and satisfied. The stir-fried chickory was bitter and excellent, the pesche crudo was gorgeous, and the spagetti all'assassina was everything I had hoped it to be: all hail to perfect spice and the maillard reaction!

This restaurant is perfection! The food was absolutely amazing. We had the antipasta platter (including the delicious sauted mussels), the spaghetti all'assasina (was invented by the chef here!), orchiette com di rape and delicous sporcamuss as dessert. 100% recommend, this was the best restaurant in our 10 days Puglia (and we ate at some really great ones). Make a reservation or come early, the place is really popular.

22/10/2025: When chance turns into luck! We stopped in on a Sunday, coming up from the deep south, very hungry but with no idea where to eat. While searching, we found this place. When we first walked in, it seemed a little swanky, but as soon as the waiters approached, we realized they were simply professional, yet human. Impeccable service, fast despite the packed crowd, and above all, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. I'm originally from Puglia, and the orecchiette with turnip tops I ordered took me back to my grandmother's house. Finally, the price was top-notch, more than reasonable considering the market and the quality. Highly recommended (I'll definitely be back!)
