Such an amazing experience, gourmet designed dishes and variety of carne, pollo, e pesche! Not to be missed if nearby, though not a view of Como, service is unmatched with kindness in English e Italiano. Chef prepared in house Dolce, food items are a work of art.

5 super stars to Giovanni, for his professionalism, delicacy and care not only in serving tables. I got up to go to the bathroom without realizing that a gentleman did the same immediately after seeing me. Mr. Giovanni, a waiter in the restaurant who noticed the suspicious behavior, had the delicacy to wait outside the services to ask me if I was okay. Nothing happened, that customer just had to go to the bathroom like me, but with everything we hear around I felt lucky. If there were more people like that, the world would be a better place. We ate and drank very well in a simple but well-kept place with impeccable service. It will be a pleasure to return if we pass through Varenna again

We had lunch there, and the service was outstanding—truly going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The food was decent, though I expected more given the restaurant’s reputation and high prices. It seems the prime location is their biggest advantage.

Pranzo di pesce di lago superlativo a Varenna: antipasto del lago clamoroso, con sapori autentici e ingredienti freschissimi, seguito da una lasagna al pesce di lago sopraffina. Atmosfera accogliente e servizio impeccabile, anche senza vista sul lago. Una tappa imperdibile per chi ama la cucina locale!

Ci sono stato per la prima volta domenica 5 gennaio dopo avere fatto una ricerca su internet ed essermi affidato alle recensioni molto positive. A pochi passi dal lungolago ho trovato questo piccolo angolo di paradiso in una piazzetta silenziosa, accolto dalla cortesia e dal calore del personale...e mi sono sentito a casa. Il mio obiettivo era mangiare del buon pesce di lago e sono stato accontentato: un antipasto chiamato "sapori del lago" e una grigliata mista sempre di pesce, il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino. Il personale è sempre stato molto attento ma discreto e non disdegnando un po' di conversazione. Esperienza davvero piacevolissima che spero di ripetere, prezzi adeguati rispetto alla qualità e alla presentazione dei piatti e....venite in questo piccolo angolo di paradiso.

I went there for the first time on Sunday 5 January after doing a Google search and relying on the very positive reviews. A few steps from the lakefront I found this little corner of paradise in a quiet square, welcomed by the courtesy and warmth of the staff... and I felt at home. My goal was to eat good lake fish and I was satisfied: an appetizer called "flavors of the lake" and a mixed fish grill, all accompanied by an excellent wine. The staff have always been very attentive but discreet and not above a bit of conversation. A truly pleasant experience that I hope to repeat, adequate prices compared to the quality and presentation of the dishes and....come to this little corner of paradise.

I had an incredible dining experience at al prato . The tiramisu was hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced, with creamy mascarpone, rich espresso-soaked layers, and a flawless dusting of cocoa. It was pure bliss in every bite. The rest of the meal was equally impressive, with dishes crafted from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. A warm smile welcomed us in this place discovered by pure chance, together with our dog. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, ideal for a quiet lunch. The dishes offered were delicious and carefully prepared, a real joy for the palate. The kindness of the staff made the experience even more pleasant. A place that I recommend to everyone, especially to those who want to spend a peaceful moment and enjoy excellent food.
