I remembered it being an excellent pizzeria, but the restaurant was a surprise! Fantastic tempura artichokes, tagliatelle with beef ragù, as exceptional as the ones with mushrooms. And generous portions. A welcoming, well-kept atmosphere. Well done!

Sunday lunch. Excellent polenta and steak. Everything tastes good. Average price is €30 per person. Ample parking.

Good food Service could be improved greatly; kindness and a smile wouldn't hurt, but one waiter is lazy and lacks style. Water and cover charges are excessive, the highest in the area. Good atmosphere. A little liveliness at the register.

Yesterday, there were six of us (long-time customers) and we started with five entrees (€13-€14 each on the menu), generous in size, as requested. The prices are already quite high, but it's your choice whether to go or not, but we were shocked to see our bill charged 2 x 5 = €10 for the large portions. WHAT A SHAME!!! The restaurant has lost six customers forever.

18/01/2026: The menu and burgers are out of this world! I didn't really appreciate the fries, but that's not to say the sandwich deserves too much attention. Green pepper mayo, 10!
23/12/2025: Not to be missed. Amazing Fassona tartare, not to mention the Mortazza focaccia. Unbeatable value for money. Informal and impeccable service. Worth a subscription. 12.23.25: Even in winter, it's a welcoming little place. The tagliata steak is excellent, and the Montepulciano by the glass is a must-try! 😄

Bar Porta Napoli

05/02/2026: In the center of Castel di Sangro, a very charming bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious desserts and ice creams, especially the traditional lemon one. Very friendly staff.
06/01/2026: The best-stocked and most welcoming bar in Castel di Sangro. The coffee is decent, as are the desserts. Spacious space with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Sangro River. Ample parking across the street.
