We've been coming to Venice every December for years. And always for Mascaron. Mascareta. Whatever you call it! Wonderful evenings with down-to-earth food and fascinating encounters. Sometimes quite quirky. We love it! See you in December.

It’s my second time here, the service is much better( last time was negative) but the seafood pasta is not as fresh as last time one year ago, but that’s why I would like to come back again. The bread is also not fresh. I am a little disappointed.

I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a local. They seem to be very particular about their food and wine, and they explained everything in great detail. The waiter's service was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I would definitely like to return the next time I'm in Venice.

Most of Venice seems artificial, overpriced and honestly, second-rate. Al Mascaron is, refreshingly; the opposite of this trend: super nice and attentive local staff, fair prices and amazing quality food (both the ingredients and the preparation). A must!

I have eaten at Al Mascaron a few times before. Long history and the owner is right there serving wines and taking your order. The Taglierini Scoglio was excellent and loaded with critters from the lagoon. Antipasto di Pesce showcased traditional preparations of classic Venetian appetizers. Grazie!

The pasta vongole was delicious. The pasta with sardines, pistachios, tomato, and olives was extraordinary. A very pleasant place to dine in good company. An authentic spot.

07/04/2026: Easter Lunch 2026. We booked on behalf of Fozzat for 8 people for our family Easter. It was a delicious lunch that delighted Grandpa, Parents, Children, and Grandchildren. The Preo family is a guarantee, thank you for allowing us to spend a truly intimate Easter with fresh and delicious dishes.
21/03/2026: Welcoming hotel, daily room cleaning, incredibly friendly owner and staff. I ate lunch and dinner there for 20 days and never found a single dish that wasn't delicious, including the pizza. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely return, all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

18/07/2026: A great restaurant and pizzeria. The food is excellent quality and delicious. The service is friendly, helpful, and smiling :-). The location is practically in the center of Lido Island. The tiramisu tastes amazing :-) Affordable prices. You can choose to sit inside or outside in the restaurant's garden. I recommend it 100%.
