Al Mascaron In Venezia

A typical Venetian tavern with excellent food at affordable prices, the innkeeper is a pleasant and friendly person. The evening passes quickly and pleasantly.

Really wanted to gate keep this place but also want to share my love for this amazing local establishment. From the starters to pasta to dessert and great wine pairings, you could feel the heart and soul in each bites. We tried a selection of seafoods appetizers and pastas; absolutely devoured them, so flavorful and like nothing I’ve had before. Besides, the prices are super affordable for the top-notch quality. You can tell this is not a typical touristy place by the amounts of locals coming in to eat and chat with the owner. But they are also super welcoming and make you feel like you are among the locals. So glad to have dined in such a great and authentic place in Venice, it was the perfect cherry on top of my visit to this wonderful city. Hope I can go again soon!

The best spaghetti!!! Portions a bit small, we had to order another portion straight away. Staff was nice. But price - performance is totally right!!!

Una autentica perla! Era venerdì sera e cercavamo un posto non turistico vicino l’hotel, Ci ha convinti ad entrare subito il cartello : “no cappuccino - no pizza” il Menù poi,aveva un profumo tutto veneziano. Sarde in saor, fegato, trippa parmigiana e cozze spettacolari! Avremmo mangiato anche i piatti! All’interno l’ambiente è piccolo ma accogliente, affollato come un salotto a Natale, felice e chiassoso di risate, di tavole armoniose. Uno di quei luoghi dove vuoi ritornare perché il personale ti fa sentire a casa, il cibo ti scalda il cuore ad ogni boccone e il buon vino inonda tutto con amore. There was nothing wrong, but nothing impressed us either. There are only a few food options. We went with our 12-year-old son, we didn't like that they didn't have any juice or lemonade options. We understand that the place is specialized in wines, but it is not normal to ask for some lemons and some sugar to make our own lemonade. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and intimate. I wouldn't come back though.

Enoteca favolosa, personale gentile e disponibile. Pesce buonissimo, antipati con sarde e tipicità gustosi. Consigliato veramente!!! Da antipasto a dolci un piatto meglio dell'altro!

The dishes were delicious, excellent quality and a good price in comparison to other restaurants in Venice. The service was very friendly and accommodated our large group in a nice atmosphere. I recommend the homemade biscuits dipped in sweet wine for dessert!
