I returned to this place after years. When I arrived, without a reservation, the owner immediately found me a table and brought me a small welcome appetizer. The service was excellent, and without a long wait, I ate the appetizer and crudités I'd ordered, followed by a delicious roasted squid with a side dish. An experience worth repeating. P.S. When I paid, the owner even gave me a discount. Thank you, and see you soon.

The Il Gabbiano restaurant in Catania is a true jewel for fish lovers. I had the pleasure of tasting the spaghetti with squid ink and the paccheri with fresh prawns and I must say that they were among the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked, with a delicate taste and rich in flavours. The restaurant staff was extremely attentive and courteous, always ready to satisfy our every request and recommend the best dishes to try. The location is enchanting, in Piazza Verga which makes the dining experience even more pleasant. I highly recommend the Il Gabbiano restaurant to all those who love fish and quality cuisine. I can't wait to go back to try other delicacies on the menu!
