Al Cenacolo In Chiavenna

A very beautiful location in the historic old town with a balcony directly overlooking the gorge. Very friendly staff and a small, very fine menu. Very charming: the coperto costs 5 euros, but includes a glass of Prosecco, salamino, and a beautiful assorted bread basket. The food is of good quality. The price/performance ratio is right and very fair. We felt very comfortable and will return.

Everything was perfect, the owners were super welcoming, kind and attentive. The service was perfect, both the girl (whose name I unfortunately don't remember, sorry) and the owner had a careful eye and made us feel super pampered. We tried the pheasant paté, the garden salad (from the chef!), the taroz... followed by a kidney, the duck-filled ravioli, mushroom risotto and pasta with courgette flowers; speechless! Simple but colourful plating, excellent quality raw materials, perfect cooking and a small but excellent quality wine list. We also had the desserts, superb, thank you for the beautiful and delicious dinner! We will definitely be back 🚀🚀

A place from another time, Always impeccable cuisine, as well as courtesy, seasonal menus, quality products and very honest prices. We have been there many times, and never a disappointment.

I was present at the inauguration of the restaurant 45 years ago and the wise skill of the chef Scinetti created a widespread network of enthusiastic customers who contributed to maintaining and extending the knowledge of a restaurant with the charm of simple elegance. Naturally over the years the menu has changed several times even if some dishes appear unchanged over the years because they are excellent.

Excellent restaurant, delicious and quality food. definitely worth trying. Compliments to the chef and the service!
