Al Cenacolo In Chiavenna

Excellent food and exquisite Wine from the region. Friendly and courteous service. Very pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be happy to come back.

In addition to the really very fine and sufficient food (very fine Coperto & very local menu Tipico & Cafe & local grappa) with the equally fine Veltliner wine Grumello Sassarosso, we also received a detailed historical overview of Chiavenna in general from the landlady, who speaks perfect German and the Al Cenacolo in particular. In the end we stayed at Al Cenacolo for 2 1/2 hours and felt very welcome.

Today at lunch we were welcomed very well, after eating an appetizer, a first course and two really excellent second courses, the waitresses forgot about us and also about the other guests in the decentralized room. We couldn't order either dessert or coffee, we left after 45 seconds of waiting for the bill and even then they didn't notice it was missing.
