I was present at the inauguration of the restaurant 45 years ago and the wise skill of the chef Scinetti created a widespread network of enthusiastic customers who contributed to maintaining and extending the knowledge of a restaurant with the charm of simple elegance. Naturally over the years the menu has changed several times even if some dishes appear unchanged over the years because they are excellent.

Excellent food and exquisite Wine from the region. Friendly and courteous service. Very pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be happy to come back.

In addition to the really very fine and sufficient food (very fine Coperto & very local menu Tipico & Cafe & local grappa) with the equally fine Veltliner wine Grumello Sassarosso, we also received a detailed historical overview of Chiavenna in general and Al Cenacolo in particular from the landlady, who speaks perfect German. In the end we stayed at Al Cenacolo for 2 1/2 hours and felt very welcome.

Today at lunch we were welcomed very well, after eating an appetizer, a first course and two really excellent second courses, the waitresses forgot about us and also about the other guests in the decentralized room. We couldn't order either dessert or coffee, we left after 45 seconds of waiting for the bill and even then they didn't notice it was missing. Dessert is usually a worthy conclusion to a lunch and we were left with a bitter taste. Sin

Agriturismo Le case dei baff

27/11/2024: Bellissima location in pietra in quelli di Ardenno, in tipico stile valtellinese. Personale molto cortese e grande attenzione al cliente. Servizio abbastanza celere. Materie prime a chilometro zero, tutte prodotte in casa (allevamento di animali in loco). Buona la qualità dei piatti, dai pizzoccheri, agli sciatt, ai salumi, ai formaggi, alla polenta, alla carne ed a tutto il resto. Cucina tradizionale valtellinese home made. Buona la scelta dei dolci ovviamente preparati in casa. Prezzi onestissimi. Consigliatissimo. Complimenti a tutto lo staff. Nb: La struttura oltre al ristorante, dispone anche di camere (funziona come agriturismo).
31/10/2024: Fuori triste pioggia. Dentro calore ed accoglienza in bellissima location in pietra. Cucina valtellinese. Salumi , formaggi , buon vino. Sciatt, pizzoccheri, polenta, carne e trota. Prezzi senza eccessi. Si sta proprio bene, molto bene.
