Among all the dishes, a fantastic prosciutto crudo stands out. In a skillfully renovated room where you can breathe in the history of the ancient village, a relaxing and enjoyable evening is guaranteed, with excellent wine and the best of Friulian tradition.

This restaurant is located in San Daniele (at the entrance to town) and just a short walk from the historic center. The restaurant features characteristic stone vaults reminiscent of medieval taverns. We sampled traditional Friulian dishes (the photos only show the quantity), all of which were of the highest quality, with prosciutto taking center stage. The wine cellar is excellent, with a wide selection of local wines. Good value. Service is good. Recommended for those in the area who want to explore the beauty of Friuli.

I'm writing without any intention of controversy, but simply because, reading the manager's comments, I see that they're very intelligent and attentive. Arriving at a restaurant at 8:30 PM and having to pick up your order almost half an hour later makes you feel a bit "abandoned," especially since the dining room was only half full. Even though the maître d' apologized because he was busy with a complicated quote with other customers at the register, the wait didn't make me feel welcome.

A refined and original atmosphere. Excellent service. I really enjoyed the food, from appetizers to dessert, with many seasonal dishes, tasty and refined. I had a wonderful evening. I also appreciated the good music in the dining room. The price was more than fair for the quality.

Good cuisine with carefully prepared dishes and local products... Excellent hospitality and friendliness, in a charming setting (a beautiful Cantinon). Fairly priced.

All dishes were typical and very delicious. The service was a little slow since there were only us and one other table, especially because we asked for the children's dishes to be brought first, but they actually brought their dishes last, but the wait was worth it.

Family dinner last night. The background music made the evening enjoyable. Attentive, fast, and professional service. Excellent ham and excellent tagliolini (rich in ham in the sauce). The polenta fridge was among the best we've tasted in years. The dessert was delicious. Our neighbors had the Florentine steak...the aroma made us want to come back for a taste! The price was in line with the quality offered.

04/03/2026: I've been to this restaurant several times over the years, so my opinion isn't based on a single experience, but on multiple visits. The restaurant looks good: the ambiance is well-kept and pleasant, with furnishings that create a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing exceptional, but certainly pleasant. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the cuisine doesn't live up to the image the restaurant wants to convey, nor does it live up to the prices, which are high for the quality offered. On several occasions, I've found dishes to be too salty, excessively greasy, or with a general lack of balance in flavors. On one occasion, I was served raw fish that hadn't been cleaned thoroughly or that wasn't suitable for being served raw. The composition of some dishes also seemed sloppy and inadequate for either the price or the quality the restaurant seems to be promoting. Furthermore, the portions of the main courses have sometimes been truly small: in some cases, literally just a few bites. The service, while not the most critical aspect, doesn't help justify the overall cost of the experience. Even details like the amount of wine served by the glass seemed rather limited. In short, I have the feeling that the restaurant wants to present itself as a premium establishment, but that in reality it fails to live up to its standards, especially considering the prices. A disappointment, especially since it has matured over time and been confirmed by multiple experiences.
11/02/2026: Intimate, very refined atmosphere; superb cuisine with excellent staff, starting with the owner and the chef. Highly recommended for a quality lunch or dinner... congratulations!!

06/03/2026: The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Mrs. Linda was extremely professional and courteous. Quality food and generous portions. Fresh fish, and the hot and cold appetizers were excellent.
