Al Barattolo In Trieste

The pizza was okay, but unfortunately there was a hair in it – disgusting! We were there on January 30, 2026, at 7:50 PM.

The pizzas were good and reasonably priced, but I thought the beer and the cover charge were a bit expensive.

Friendly staff, excellent selection of local dishes and pizzas from the bread oven. Excellent selection of wines and drinks, definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

We went for some local pizza and pasta, so we ordered Boscaiola pizza and caronara pasta. Pizza was excellent, but carbonara is not what we expected, it wasnt like original italian carbonara, and tiramisu you can skip, its for 3 stars, so we give it a 4 stars 🫡

From start to finish, everything was great. A sincere recommendation for this restaurant. The food is delicious, the waiters are friendly... We will be back...

There was a very long wait due to the crowds; we had both lunch and dinner. The food was excellent! The staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful. The pizza and pasta were highly recommended!

Superb Neapolitan place! Offers the best fried calamari I’ve ever had in many years of eating out all over the world: they were perfectly done (tender, not rubbery), just enough very light batter to be delicious, fresh and scrumptious! I ate here twice and enjoyed a big spread of different dishes each time. A huge menu of choices: Everything from their special dough culture pizzas to their spaghetti vongole to their delicious meat ragu sauces to their tortellinis to their minestrone to their wonderful homemade tiramisu was exceptional. Also important, unlike almost all restaurants in the area which are closed between 3-7pm, Al Barattolo is open through from 10am-11pm, so if you want a really late lunch or an early dinner, you can be seated immediately. Highly recommended!
