Ai Piantaleoni In Venezia

I have many mixed reviews, but ultimately I don't feel like giving it more than this. I booked online: very convenient, and the table was ready on time. Unfortunately, the service was very confusing; you could see/feel they're paying much more attention to their regular customers, so to speak. We ordered an appetizer that arrived almost immediately, and then a first and second course arrived almost 50 minutes later... a bit too long a wait... We weren't thrilled with the dishes we ordered either (mixed fried food with more vegetables than fish: it looked like sushi... where were my tagliolini with cherry tomatoes and red prawns?? Just cherry tomatoes... THE OCTOPUS APPETIZER WAS DELICIOUS!)... ...not to mention the bill... it was a mess getting the order brought in... and not a smile from anyone, least of all the cashier. Too bad, because the location is very beautiful.

The food is delicious, and the setting on the pontoon is also superb. The ambiance, at least during our visit, is marred by the high level of noise from other guests. The service is unfortunately not attentive; there's no wine tasting; instead, the glass is poured immediately. The waiter, engrossed in lively conversation, doesn't come by himself but has to be beckoned over with great effort. The bill then sits on the table without comment, and you don't know whether the waiter, equipped with a scanner, will settle the bill at the table or not. We settled it at the counter, but unfortunately, three other waiters were again interrupted during their intense conversation.

Wonderful evening yesterday with my wife. Excellent food, exemplary service, and kindness from all the staff. Mr. Alvise was very kind and friendly, as well as a great chef. Wonderful place.

We where trying to find a restaurant and ended up going here because of the view. I got fritto misto wich was delicious and my friend got pasta with tomato and straciatella cheese wich was also really good. And for dessert we got a traditional venetian dessert wich where some delicious biscuits that melted in your mouth. The staff was really kind too. In my opinion its a missed opportunity if you dont come here.

The outdoor area is a highlight. We had an incredibly lovely evening here. Delicious food, great wines, and a beautiful view. Vegan and vegetarian options were offered. (We specially cooked something vegan that wasn't on the menu upon request.) Thank you very much!

Alvise is an exceptional chef. He's young and passionate, and this shines through in his dishes, where every flavor is perfectly balanced. His menu maintains tradition, combining a touch of sophistication without ever losing balance, thus offering a refined and special menu. My partner and I return every time and are always amazed by the quality and deliciousness of the dishes. The service is welcoming and professional, and the wines are exceptional. Absolutely not to be missed. You will be delighted.

The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, even though there were enough staff and the tables were not completely occupied. We waited 15 minutes for the bill. The same for the menu card, about 10 minutes. However, they were very willing to run around the Italian guests. Too bad. It spoiled the overall impression quite a bit.

This restaurant is nicely placed in Murano, but the staff ruined it, they were welcoming enough but after that we were roundly ignored, as were several other guests. They just left people standing in the middle of the restaurant clearly feeling awkward! It took us about 10 minutes to attract someone’s attention so we could pay and leave, they acknowledged that they had seen we wanted to pay, but did nothing about it, just continued setting up tables for lunch. It wasn’t till I stood up to leave that they finally came to take our money. We had been considering going back there for lunch but didn’t bother and found somewhere with much less ignorant staff.
