I dined at the Piantaleoni restaurant during a company dinner, and the experience was truly remarkable. Nice restaurant in Murano where the food is tasty. Typical Italian dishes with a short and efficient selection. Service team is kind and there is a terrace in the water if you wish.

A pleasant surprise! A friend of ours had recommended it to us, and we really liked it. It's in a beautiful panoramic location, overlooking the Murano Grand Canal, not far from the "Museo" vaporetto stop. It has a lovely terrace on the canalside, a few tables along the promenade, and then some inside. The menu is interesting and the dishes are well-executed, with a gourmet touch. The service was also good (there was a baptism party going on on the terrace, but we didn't feel abandoned). The prices are medium-high, but fair for the quality. It's worth trying. A word of advice... book your table in advance, though...

I have many mixed reviews, but ultimately I don't feel like giving it more than this. I booked online: very convenient, and the table was ready on time. Unfortunately, the service was very confusing; you could see/feel they're paying much more attention to their regular customers, so to speak. We ordered an appetizer that arrived almost immediately, and then a first and second course arrived almost 50 minutes later... a bit too long a wait... We weren't thrilled with the dishes we ordered either (mixed fried food with more vegetables than fish: it looked like sushi... where were my tagliolini with cherry tomatoes and red prawns?? Just cherry tomatoes... THE OCTOPUS APPETIZER WAS DELICIOUS!)... ...not to mention the bill... it was a mess getting the order brought in... and not a smile from anyone, least of all the cashier. Too bad, because the location is very beautiful.

The food is delicious, and the setting on the pontoon is also superb. The ambiance, at least during our visit, is marred by the high level of noise from other guests. The service is unfortunately not attentive; there's no wine tasting; instead, the glass is poured immediately. The waiter, engrossed in lively conversation, doesn't come by himself but has to be beckoned over with great effort. The bill then sits on the table without comment, and you don't know whether the waiter, equipped with a scanner, will settle the bill at the table or not. We settled it at the counter, but unfortunately, three other waiters were again interrupted during their intense conversation.
