We were a bit apprehensive when we walked in during peak season and found a near empty restaurant, but this place has extraordinary food and service. You will not regret dining here!
It can be challenging to find good food in Venice, and this place exceeded our expectations in every way.
We loved everything we ordered. The food and service were excellent.
The service was very refined. The food quite artful.
The wine list had good choices from all over Italy.
The location across from Peggy Guggenheim is peaceful and just one stop from San Marco.

We came for the tasting menu, with paired wine. Every course was spectacular! Delicious foods and very well paired wines. The restaurant itself is lovely, feels very authentic. The service was also excellent - friendly, polite and extremely helpful! We added a cheeky extra course of the beef risotto special to the tasting menu, and although we were very full, it was a superb addition and our waitress was super accommodating adding this in for us and also picking a perfectly paired wine too! Our group was celebrating a birthday and our birthday girls finally course came with a candle and a song too! Delicious and memorable evening had by all!

So my wife and I are in Venice for a couple of days. The concierge at our hotel recommended Ai Gondolieri for dinner. Just a five minute walk from our hotel. We arrived without reservations. The staff was very accommodating. Francesca the very nice and welcoming staff member. Seated us and made us feel like family. The service was relaxing and from the appetizer to the final bite of dessert. Everything was excellent. I found the atmosphere, food and service to be outstanding. Highly recommend dining here if you get a chance.

The dip was pleasant but lacking in crunch. The fried appetizer was too greasy, and the artichoke bottoms were almost cold. The meat dishes were excellent! The fillet with Amarone was exquisite, as was the Venetian-style liver. The millefeuille was equally good. The tables were crowded, the atmosphere warm, and the waiters were very friendly. The quality/price ratio was unbelievable.
