Agriturismo Pieve Sprenna Restaurant In Buonconvento

Our group of four loved our stay on the farm! The views are spectacular. The rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect for doing day trips throughout Tuscany. The breakfast got our day started right every day and the dinner we had there was awesome. We enjoyed the wine they make there and the service was prompt and courteous. We have stayed at a couple of agriturismos in the last few years and feel it is a great way to experience what Italian life is all about. Keep in mind, this is a working farm. This family is working their tails off to host guests as well as run a productive farm. We felt like part of the family even though we are loud Americans. I almost forgot the animals. I woke up our first morning there to a giant pig outside our window. Pigs, rabbits, chickens, ponies, a macaw, goats and the wonderful golden retrievers were all a joy. The donkey was a highlight as well. Just don't visit him at night as he will wake up the entire farm! Stay here when you visit Tuscany. You wont regret it.

Lovely place...excellent cuisine

A residence with so much charm, everything is done with great taste, from the decor of the rooms to that of the restaurant and the garden. The view is picture-perfect. The welcome was very warm. We loved it. And the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast 👌

A truly magnificent place surrounded by greenery, just steps from the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts are refined and carefully prepared. The entire property is managed with passion and dedication by the family. We highly recommend staying for dinner, as the food is truly delicious.

In June 2025, we visited Pieve Sprenna for the second time, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely once again. We greatly enjoy the wonderfully quiet and relaxed atmosphere; we love dreaming away in the beautiful garden with the Tuscan landscape while enjoying our afternoon aparativo: limoncello spritz and some snacks or a nice local wine, relaxing in the jacuzzi for a bit, and having a delicious meal in the evening. The pizza night on the terrace was a huge success, in particular. The breakfast with freshly made strawberry jam (made by the father the year before, I was told) is also a real treat. It is not for nothing that we call this our “Happy place”. We are going again this coming May 2026 🥰. This time we are bringing good friends along because we want them to experience this wonderful place; this time we are also going to rent bikes and go to a wine tasting, for which the family helped us in the right direction so that we could arrange it. I visited in the fall with my 9-year-old son. I am finally leaving a comment now. There are quite a few rooms and the grounds are spacious; it is clean and well-organized, likely because the owner's family manages it diligently. The food was especially delicious, and I could see why the family takes such pride in it. Since it is a farm stay, it is located on a very rural road, but accessibility to Tuscan cities famous for wine, such as Siena and Montalcino, is not bad. However, you do need a car. We had a problem with our rental car, so we took the bus to nearby cities, but there are only a few buses a day, and you have to walk about 30 minutes to reach the bus stop, so I wouldn't recommend it. The timetable at the bus stop was fairly accurate, though. Next time, I would like to visit again when the greenery is lush or when the swimming pool is open.
