Adulis in via Melzo offers an immersion in Eritrean cuisine. The environment is refined and the atmosphere welcoming.
Standing out on the menu are the sambussa, small triangles of fried dough stuffed (meat or lentils) with just the right amount of spiciness. Among the main dishes, the chicken Zighini and the white Kilwa are delicate, while the gored-gored is decidedly more intense.
Unfortunately the meat was not always soft and in some cases a little too fatty. Also, pay attention to the bill: we found ourselves charged for dishes and drinks not ordered.
Overall, Adulis is a must-try place for an Eritrean dining experience in Milan. Recommended for those who appreciate strong and spicy flavours. However, the quality of the meat and the accuracy of the bill could be improved.

African-style restaurant, poorly maintained inside, with rather dated furnishings. However, the atmosphere is nice: you eat at very low tables, which seem to be on the floor to give you the most typical experience. The food is eaten with the hands, gradually nibbling the bread around the food. The beef is good. The goat one is a little less so (rather gamey flavour). The service is very minimal. Prices in the Milanese average (25 euros per person without wine).

I have been coming to eat at this restaurant for 14 years and have never left disappointed. The food is excellent, with varying levels of spiciness to suit all tastes. The atmosphere of the place is calm and the decor seems to catapult you into a tent in the desert.

First time at this restaurant! I immediately liked the place, and the gentleman was very kind. We got a vegetarian dish and a white Kilwa. Apart from the meat which unfortunately was really chewy, I found everything else very good! As an appetizer, there are also pasta triangles filled with meat... amazing! I recommend going there!!!

The place is a stone's throw from the centre, also particular for its low tables and chairs. You eat very well and you spend very little for the location it is in

We ate at this restaurant with a group of friends and our child. Friendly, fast and impeccable service. Excellent and spicy food (a little spicy). Being an ethnic restaurant you have to adapt to the local traditions... and you eat with your hands sharing with the others at the table. Excellent African wine. Restaurant owner ready to answer every question. Truly a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Always nice to come here. I had been missing for some time but it is a pleasure to see that everything has remained the same, in particular finding Mr. Berehe to welcome you again. First time way back in 2008. Try it.

The environment is very welcoming, clean and familiar. The staff is pleasant and smiling.
Good food, we took as a starter (the only one there is) sambussa with lentils (there was also meat but we didn't prefer it) really very good and slightly spicy. As a main course beef zighinì and beef spris with peppers and onion obviously served with typical bread (consistency of crepes but without eggs and sugar). Having never eaten Eritrean food, I don't have a yardstick for comparison but honestly I liked it even if it was spicy (I never eat spicy), it was all very tasty and the fact of leaving the comfort zone of cutlery and etiquette makes it even better.
We then concluded with the tasting of all 3 desserts available: Baklava, Basbusa and Kunafa, all wonderful!
However, we didn't finish our main course because even to the eye it seemed small but it was very substantial and so we were satisfied quickly.
However, an experience worth trying!
