Aciugheta In Venezia

Excellent crostata and much-needed, uncompromising service. I can't understand the old(!) bad reviews. The seating is very pleasant and, despite the proximity to St. Mark's Square, it's peaceful.

In a touristy city like Venice, where there are many restaurants, I'd happily say that Pizzeria Aciugheta is worth a visit, both for the location, the food, and the friendly service. As for the food, both the pasta dishes and the pizzas are worth trying; we were pleasantly surprised by both. My children really enjoyed them. Thanks to the staff. Highly recommended.

A little more kindness wouldn't hurt

We had a great time. The waiter who served us was very courteous and professional. We ate very well, featuring typical local dishes and reasonably priced for Venice! I definitely recommend it.

As for food, it was mid and that is the only positive I have for the place other than their nice outside sitting. The service is horrible– given there isn't much waiters working, that wouldn't be a problem for us but when it came to the payment, initially they denied our request to pay separately. We tried to argue multiple times on how this was unfair since we ordered different meals with different prices but they claimed that this was how their system works– well, they changed their tone very quickly once we said that if they were going to do that we will be reviewing this. Then suddenly we were able to pay separately. I would not recommend this place as the service is horrible and they force you to obey a system that makes absolutely no sense. Also, the bathroom were dirty.
