We spent two nights in this beautiful hotel, ideally located in the heart of Verona. The room was very comfortable and perfectly soundproofed. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms a little dated but the position of the hotel right in the historical district is a real plus.
Excellent breakfasts!

For those who want to experience Verona in style, the choice is simple: this hotel exceeds all expectations. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in Italian elegance, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail.
The absolute highlight is the service. The staff are the epitome of professionalism: perfectly multilingual, discreet, and completely dedicated to creating an unforgettable stay. This level of hospitality sets the tone for the rest of the experience. The rooms are a haven of tranquility – spotless, spacious, and equipped with whisper-quiet, efficient air conditioning. The fantastic breakfast provides the perfect start to the day every morning.
But the hotel's true asset is its superb location. Nestled in the golden heart of the city, right between the two main squares, everything is within easy reach. The Arena is literally around the corner – catching a concert is highly recommended – while on the other side, the famous balcony beckons. The location is also ideal for day trips: the train station for visits to Venice or Milan is nearby, and tour buses to Lake Garda or the Valpolicella wine region stop within walking distance.
In short, this hotel is an investment in a carefree and luxurious experience. I had a fantastic week there and can recommend it without hesitation.

Very good family run hotel in the middle of Verona. About 10 minutes walk from the Arena and 5 minutes from Piazza Erbe, the heart of the city. Plenty of shopping and eating and sightseeing within a few minutes walk.
The room we had was spacious with all the facilities you would expect. There was a small bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bidet. The bed was very large and even though the window looked out on a busy pedestrian shopping street the sound proofing was effective. As well as quite a lot of wardrobe space there was a coffee table with two easy chairs and a desk with charging facilities.
The staff in reception were helpful and gave us several food ideas about places to see and things to do.
Public space in the hotel had a variety of traditional and modern art with plenty of seating as well as private meeting rooms and lounge areas.
Every afternoon there were welcome drinks in the library.
Breakfast was a good selection on a large buffet though finding a seat could be a bit haphazard since almost every table had a reserved sign on it. These seemed to be flexible and more to do with helping the staff know who was recently arrived than with any actual reservation.

The hotel is beautiful and so are the rooms. There is a large parking lot, but the beds are made of stone, as are the cushions, and the breakfast is mediocre (they don't know how to make omelets or bacon) and the bartender is really not nice.

If you are traveling to Verona and you don’t stay at Academia, you will be committing traveling malpractice. The rooms are what you would expect from a gold star standard hotel. The staff is the best. They are friendly, helpful. In addition, the hotel has quiet communal rooms for reading.
We came to this hotel because we booked tickets to the Arena di Verona summer opera. We are about to watch the last opera, Carmen, or in Italian La Carmen, and then we are leaving for Paris. Paris is great but Verona oh my Verona, from Juliet’s balcony to outstanding restaurants and the Arena of course. Should have stayed longer in the hidden gem of Verona and Academia.

Excellent location, for breakfast there is a large selection of food. Complaint about the terrace that they didn't clean, every time we went to it, there were cups, cans, full ashtrays from the day before. Also, the employee at the reception was rude when we asked her to pay for an extended stay until 3pm instead of checking out at 11am. She said that the entire hotel was booked for that day, which was a lie because I saw through the booking that there were free rooms. It just hated extending our stay.
