We went to the splendid town of Matera to spend the end-of-year holidays and on 01/01/2025 we went to have lunch at the 900 Casa Taccardi Restaurant where we spent a splendid day in a splendid location in the company of the very kind owner where he illustrated the naming his delicious wine with the flavor of his land, Basilicata, naming the Ciccillo wine after his father. In this restaurant the food is excellent. I highly recommend anyone who is in Matera whether for travel or work to stop by the 900 Restaurant and taste excellent and tasty products. Excellent restaurant with typical Lucanian dishes. Generous potions made with fresh ingredients. Impeccable and very attentive service. The tasting menu is a great option. To return.

Very welcoming place that serves truly delicious dishes. We ate the pignata, truly excellent, and as an appetizer cruschi peppers with rocket and truly delicious Matera bread meatballs. Not to mention the Matera bread cannoli with ricotta. Top restaurant. The very kind owner even recognized us the next day on the street as we were trying to cross a rather busy area and stopped to let us pass.

We came here for a HUGE Christmas Eve feast and it was delicious. 6 course for 60 EURO including wines, every course came out hot and was delicious. Great service.

Van Gogh

06/01/2025: We went to the Van Gogh pizzeria during our trip to Matera. We were looking for a place in the center and we came across this place where we could taste their pizzas, excellent in terms of dough and ingredients used. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the service is fast despite so many people in the room.
02/01/2025: Consigliato questo locale, ci siamo passati per una cena a base di pizza. Personale gentile ed educato, pizza davvero squisita ed anche i dolci buoni. Prezzo nella media. Assolutamente consigliato
