very elegant place with beautiful old building and stylish atmosphere, food looks amazing and well prepared, service was nice and relaxed, prices a bit high but it feels worth it for the whole experience

food was really nice, especially the pasta. felt fresh and well cooked. the place is cozy and calm, service was polite and not too slow. wine list looked decent too. would come back again if in the area.

We greatly appreciated his generous gesture: he gave us a package of artisanal pasta, produced by his own pasta factory, which we can't wait to try. Authentic flavors and creative combinations. Cleanliness level was hotel-grade. Great terrace and view thanks to the prime location.

It offers so much value and expertise in the ancient tradition of Lucanian cuisine, reinterpreted through the quality of the ingredients and through the host Gianfranco's narration of each dish. He brings to life the history of each dish and, more importantly, entices you to eat before you even taste the delicacy. A real insider tip. This family-run business, run for generations, with its traditional dishes, is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the authentic culinary delights of Matera. The family business is also a pasta producer that supplies renowned restaurants. After a lengthy conversation with the owner's son, I was told that everything on the menu is made in-house and that they take great care to pass on the culture of Matera. In my opinion, this is an excellent business with absolutely reasonable prices.
