Que went there after MateraMi didn’t take us in because we didn’t have a reservation. This place DID NOT disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was great. We totally recommend it! If you are in Matera don’t miss this place!

I tried it for a business dinner and was thrilled by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the elegant atmosphere, and the exceptional traditional dishes, thanks in part to the fact that the owner personally makes the pasta, including these unforgettable berry taralli! Extremely satisfied, I'll definitely be back.

The staff was as exquisite as the food!! And the host was incredibly generous!
The cavatello with caciocavallo fondue was out of this world, the ricotta mousse with fig reduction was delicious. The food was truly delicious. And last but not least, the atmosphere was original and sophisticatedly welcoming!!

Everything was perfect. Even though we hadn't booked, the owner found us a spot. The appetizer of fava bean puree and chicory was amazing. Peperone crusco, provolone, and arugula were a must. And then we had pasta, the house specialty. My 8-year-old son ordered the pignatta, a plate of meat and vegetables covered in a layer of bread dough and baked. He was very kind when he served it and explained how to open it. Then, while my daughter was videotaping the opening, the owner started doing a voiceover describing it. Truly friendly and kind. To finish, he offered a round of liqueurs and a package of their pasta. €130 for four, including wine. A must!

The hospitality was amazing, and the food was delicious. The owner was so nice. The Coltecci pasta, octopus dish, and the Matera wine you recommended were all delicious and reasonably priced.

My husband and I went for dinner at a friend's recommendation. We arrived 10 minutes early, and the owner kindly showed us to a table. We tried to order dishes we hadn't tried before. Except for the octopus, everything was new to us and delicious. My husband ordered the leaf-shaped Colteccie pasta, which was truly exceptional.

When it comes to a restaurant, I usually evaluate both the food and the service. In this case, the experience offered by Mr. Gianfranco and his staff goes beyond that, in my opinion, and can truly make an evening at Ristorante 900 (the first for my wife and I) a moment to be remembered for a long time and positively. Indeed, in addition to excellent cuisine, featuring quality, well-prepared ingredients, beautifully presented, and served promptly, the owner, besides being very attentive to the customer's needs, has effortlessly created a friendly relationship that only natural human qualities can sustain, without any studied or "commercial" pretenses. I also consider the fact that he has included both traditional dishes and interpretations of local products in his menu a very positive and quite rare feature. Finally, the wines offered, including the house wines in bulk, are of a good standard. The price is fair, that is, not too high, and good for the quality and quantity. Highly recommended; I can't wait to return.
